Raspados Loly's — Restaurant in Sweetwater

THE SERVICE AT RASPADOS LOLY'S IS THE WORST!!!!!!! I had the experience of going there with my pregnant friend. She was craving shaved ice cream or Raspados. I ordered two Raspados of pineapple and one dulce de leche. The guy (who is the son of the owners) charged me the two pineapples and not the dulce de leche one. I told him I wanted also the dulce de leche and he got mad/angry at me! He rudely told me I will need to pay in cash to pay for the dulce de leche raspado, since he charged the others ones with the debit card. Luckily, I had cash and had no issue paying it. But when I gave him the $20 bill, he snapped it out of my hand rudely. I dont understand his attitude, someone is coming to buy your product. I laughed about it at the time but it was very upsetting. I am from a Nicaraguan background and love to share my culture but I won’t be recommending anyone...

I have been coming here for years. Today I was in the area and I wanted my husband to try the amazing Relleno raspado that I have always loved. Customer service was good. The taste of the caramel topping is still creamy and delish as I remember but the quality overall has unfortunately decreased. I think the reason for this is the shaved ice is different somehow. It clumps up in large chunks and no longer gives therefor the same consistency. It may be that it is from what I can tell no longer done manually instead they have a machine shaved ice maker. Another thing is the chunks of cake taste great but now are significantly smaller. I remember the cake pieces being a lot bigger and or more of it. I have been coming here for years and was anticipating all week to come and buy a raspado. I just left with the worst feeling ever. An older woman who attended me when she asked me what type of raspado I wanted i responded saying “Dulce” and didn’t realize she had asked me about it being relleno I had assumed it was, so when she was almost done making it I told her, I’m sorry I wanted relleno. Well she made a face disgust and was whispering words under her breath and gave me a lot of attitude even when i went and apologized and told her I would pay extra for both for the trouble.
