You walk into the Wendy's. From what you can tell, it seems like any other Wendy's. Unfortunately, this one in particular has made a mistake in employment and hired from the pits of hell. The employees, seemingly sent from the devil, are loud and rude. The woman at the register continually yells at a man who is trying to order. He is very polite and tries his hardest to speak louder for her when she complains about not hearing him. When he tells her his order, one meant for him and his friends, she groans, huffing and puffing as she walks around the corner to yell at the other employees and tell them the order. From the back, customers are able to hear a very loud and annoyed 'seriously???' The woman in the back continues her rant: "I can hardly keep up with the orders I got now!" This lady is shocked at the audacity of people ordering food at a restaurant. Imagine! As she continues her fit, not caring about how customers could hear every word, the lady in the back begins to throw items; items are forcefully flung into trash cans, etc. Not only are they whiney, annoyed, and obnoxious, but the employees and this restaurant in particular are slow. As the woman at the front ignores the polite man trying to order, she all but yells into her speaker, "We got two large orders: one inside and one in the drive-thru so you're looking at a thirty minute wait." At this point, my family and I left. Although we were getting a kick out of how bloody awful the customer service was, we were not willing to wait thirty minutes for some supposedly fast food and risk being heckled by the staff.

Read moreUpdate 5/3/25. Went again and Sloooww, stood inside behind one couple must have been 10 mins again. After the couple places their order and went to sit down, I still at the counter for another 5 minutes at least. The person that takes orders was busy with about 3 other employees. I walked out after not being acknowledged, there was one car parked by the door waiting on their order and no cars in line for the window. I don't know what's going on. I've been here several times because I like Wendy's, I've had to leave more than I got food. I won't be back, waste of time. If there was a competition for longest wait at a fast food restaurant, this Wendy's would be a serious contender.
SLOW! Try it if you don’t mind waiting 30mins or more. After sitting in the drive the drive through line for over 15 mins I made it up to the speaker to place my order. The lady taking the order had her mic on and everything she said was booming out of the speaker. After another more than 10 minute wait and my saying I couldn’t tell if she was talking to me or not she took my order. After placing it she told me it would be another 7 minutes on the grill so I said cancel it and left. Why they only help one car at a time before taking the next order, I don’t know. If she had taken my order when I got up to the speaker it would have been ready when Ingot to the window and same for the cars lined up out to the street. Read moreWORST DRIVE THRU EXPERIENCE you will ever encounter. Hope you have at least 45 minutes to wait for food even if it's off the value menu. They take only one order at a time & won't take any orders until that order is fully cooked and handed to the customer in front of you. When you pull up to the speaker in drive thru they will tell you to hold on and you will wait an additional 10 minutes. They get orders wrong all the time and will give you attitude for their own mistakes. Rude & entitled people who work here who don't feel like they need to work. The only store I've ever been to where the manager is the cook, bagger, and food preper working the fryer as well while her 3 to 4 employees do the BARE MINIMUM of work while dragging their feet. There is no excuse on how this place is being ran other than the employees abusing & taking advantage their managers kindness knowing she will not stand up to them and force them to help & do what they were hired to do! Every employees attitude makes you feel super uncomfortable like your in the wrong for wanting to eat at Wendy's and have fast prompt service while paying and eating what your originally ordered. Wendy's franchise needs to investigate this location internally & resolve the wait time and product quality control because I know of multiple people in the town of Sylva & Cullowhee who will NEVER return to this location due to the ongoing issues for over months on end with no resolution or care for...
