You cannot charge a credit card service fee. It is in the restaurant's agreement with the credit card company that they must accept that credit card all the time for any amount of purchase and not add on any fees. Otherwise they are breaking the agreement with MasterCard or Visa. Or whoever is the vendor of the card payment system, can stop allowing them to use that as a payment at their restaurant. It doesn't matter if other places do it. What they're doing is wrong and what you're doing is wrong. You signed the agreement and you lied by signing it and not adhering to the conditions which were stipulated. So strike one you've proven you are greedy. Strike 2. You're a liar because you signed the agreement. If anyone has been charged a card service fee, they should immediately contact the card company and explain how this restaurant is behaving. They will lose their ability to take credit and debit cards as payment. Also call the better Business bureau. They should be informed of this as they also know the rules. To see them, add these hidden illegal contract breaking charges and serving exorbitantly priced food that as I can tell from the other reviews is really Hit or Miss. Says a lot about what they think about their customers and how their restaurant is run and how the owners are and if you want to give two thoughts of going here.
Almost forgot! Did they charged taxes during the Ohio tax-free period, is also criminal. There is no choice to participate. Everyone must. Those taxes didn't go anywhere but into the owners and operator's pockets. Because the state was not collecting them during the tax-free. So this place is run by a bunch of immoral thieves that lie and can't...
Read moreMy wife and I have enjoyed Georgio's Cafe Internationale since 1993. Over the years, we've come to know and build relationships with the owners, their family and their employees. Yes, the same employees from 1993 to 2020. So when Chris told us they were opening a new restaurant in Sylvania, we set the date.
Georgio's Grill is clearly built on the same DNA. Set on a stretch of street that has proved difficult for some bars and restaurants to succeed, Georgio's Grille will not have any such issues. A bit less intimate than their original establishment, the Grille is open and airy. The bar is separate from the main seating area, but includes several booths to supplement the bar stools. The main dining area is treated by natural light from the front facing windows, which is opposed by an open kitchen and a huge wood fired pizza oven.
The staff, both familial and hired from outside, are polite, upbeat, and professional. Again, the Georgio's blueprint has been followed. Plain and simple.
There are craft beers along with the usual suspects, and diverse, yet simple menu serving those who wish to eat light and healthy, as well as those of us that struggle with the allure of delicious foods, calories be damned! We have had their pizza, vegetable noodles, chicken marsala, burger, flat bread, and many others. The bill will not shock you, but the food and service may. Chris and George hit another homerun! Georgio's Grille is a must!...
Read moreGood evening, we went to your restruant with another couple from a suggestion from another friend. We were seated with our reservations on time. Ordered drinks and a couple apps. Both were very good and our waitress was very attentive. Then things started to change, not for the better unfortunately. A group of 6 younger guys were seated at the next table, then it went to six then eight. Squeezed in and abit loud in their conversations. Had our main dishes come out and everyone's food was excellent. Then it went bad with the group of young men, 2 of the guys were vaping and were just acting the fool. Trying to hide it, but were horrible at it and the smell was disgusting! We both spent as couples $100 for our night out! To bad it was a HUGE disappointment with the other table loudness, rudeness, disrespect for other patrons dining and vaping. Unfortunately we will not be going back and letting our other friends of this disappointing experience. Hopefully management can address this and other future issues similar to this. Step up and lead, you do have a great thing their. Thank...
