Hot Chix — Restaurant in Sylvania

I'd like to give a higher review since my good experiences here have been outstanding. Unfortunately, I knock off the 2 stars because my most recent bad experience was absolutely terrible.

On Sunday 6/1 I had ordered through the local toast app for delivery and usually everything is fine. We often order tacos and more often than not, our extra sauces are missing and our limes are dryer than the Sahara desert. We can usually look past that but this last experience had me pretty upset. I had ordered 2 orders of the hot chix tacos for my husband and 1 order of the avo ranch fries with a side avo ranch taco for myself. When the order arrived, everything was shoved tightly into one bag and two items were completely on their side, another thing I'd usually look past if I'm hungry enough. When I had opened my food, there was barely any food to begin with. The fries had maybe 8 fries, and one piece of chicken and just some cheese sauce splattered on one side. The side taco was just a tortilla with chicken and nothing else basically. There was some semblance of some ranch that got squirted in the general direction of the taco, but it didn't quite make it to the taco itself. This meal looked like it was thrown together by either a disgruntled employee, or a day one trainee. It was one of the most disappointing meals I've ever received.

Now I was already having a bad day so I asked my husband to call the store so i wouldnt blow up on anyone. I was honestly ready to cry with the type of day I was having. I just wanted to see if i could get some sort of credit or something and the person that answered stated that there was no manager present at the time and that she couldn't help us, but she'd take our phone number down and have the manager call the next day. Meanwhile over the phone there are (what we assumed to be) employees that can be heard dropping very clear f bombs. The person that took our call didn't seem like she knew what she was doing or if she even knew where she was at.

After I had finally settled down, what little bit i did eat from my order made my stomach hurt and kept me up half the night.

No one called us to address this even though we were assured someone would definitely get ahold of us the next morning. It felt like this issue really got swept under the rug and I just really dont appreciate that.

Like I said before, the good experiences I've had are great. This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. I dont know if I'll order again any time soon.

Wife couldnt wait to try your chicken after seeing the restaurant inside newly built gas . So on 12/6 we decided to give them a try. First impression staff very friendly and helpful i placed my order through the kiosk i ordered 8pc no seasoning (spice) with 4 biscuits, Cole slaw and waffle fries fairly priced at $26 dollars. After I ordered a employee (not sure if he was manager or just employee) came to me and said fresh chicken will be out in 15 minutes I had no problem waiting who doesn't want fresh chicken. while waiting same employee brought me a biscuit for waiting. The biscuit was really good. I couldn't wait to have wife try these they are so good. Finally, get my order get home I immediately tell the wife you have to try these biscuits they are really good, who doesn't like a tasty biscuit. well I open up bag pull food out and guess what no biscuits not even one so wife could try, then the chicken is covered in this overly salty and spicy seasoning even though we ordered no spice we just wanted plain chicken. Chicken was moist but to spicy and salty. It was so spicy myself ,wife, and grandkids 2&3 yrs old could stand to eat it. Then I pull out receipt to call the store. There was no phone number on the reciept, it wasn't even my receipt that I received from kiosk it was time stamped 239pm I was there at 630ish. Maybe it was a off night, but wife and i was very disappointed and may try again in future but not anytime soon. P.s.- get a phone so problems can immediately be addressed instead of having your customers go on a mission trying to find it and so we don't have to buy something different to eat for everyone because food was not edible unless you eat hot coals for dinner. Staff is very friendly though. Also noticed bad reviews on here go unanswered while every review 3* and above get some sort of response. If a customer is willing to post a review good, bad or indifferent a response back goes along way.

Update: I did get a response below from owner even though I didn't get what I paid for and the chicken wasn't edible because it was over seasoned when in fact it wasn't supposed to be seasoned. Yet nothing was done to make it right.....great customer service. Definitely...

26 dollars for a shake, chicken sandwich and fries. For that price, the chicken better suck me. Waited 17 minutes and after i came in from pumping gas they were still cooking the chicken and the girl up front didn't even get me my 10 DOLLAR shake yet. Just kept walking around, checking her phone and going into the back wasting time as i stood there at least waiting for my shake. The people around me we’re getting pretty impatient too, Even the cashier of the gas station told me it’s not worth the money lol. The girl upfront told me “for future reference we drop the chicken and it takes 20 minutes so it’s fresh” I said don’t worry it won’t matter cause I won’t be back.
