Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Symmes Township

The fact the restaurant was practically empty at 5:15 should have been our first clue to go anywhere else. We were sat immediately in a completely empty section. After 10 minutes the hostess came back to take our drink order, as our server still had not come to the table. Red flag #2. Once our server did finally materialize, her comment was "sorry, there was some miscommunication." It felt as if she was rushing us to get the order, never inquiring if we wanted appetizers, alcohol (which the hostess was unable to take orders for), etc. until we said we wanted to start with an appetizer. One time she did offer to bring refills, however she never offered again, and all 3 adults were out of drinks midway through the meal. She had to be asked multiple times for items before she ever brought them, such as dipping sauces. The food was mediocre, and that is being generous. 2 of the meals (chicken crispers) were luke warm, with fried that had been around for quite some time. Even the 7 year old, who loves french fries and ketchup, wouldn't touch them. The kids pizza was soggy and undercooked. The fajitas were barely seasoned, the chicken was pale, and the vegetables were barely past raw, and had obviously been rushed. When we asked for the check, the server simply plopped the little kiosk on the table and walked off. No paper check, no offer to take them up if we were ready. Had anyone in the group wanted to pay with cash, we would have had to just leave it on table and hope it was credited properly so no one was accused of dining and dashing! There's a 1 star review by chosen ladies ministries at this location. It is a lie review. If you check all of her reviews everywhere she is from indy and every review is 1 star and ridiculous. Haven't been to chili's since I was 7 and have NEVER been to this location. This was an incredible experience for us everyone there eating was also having a bang up time. Our food was incredible and yeah we had a water come with some food in it. So what. We asked for a new water and got a fresh glass who cares hardly a reason to complain. The food was incredibly good and came out fast. They have little games you can play and you pay on the same table tablet which is so much easier and cooler than handing over your card. Our apps came super quick. The chocolate milk was even good. There's no reason to give this below 3 stars at worst but our experience was an EASY 5 stars. The server was awesome and attentive not that I care about that that much I'm more concerned about how you talk to us than if you're checking every 10 minutes. People get busy. Our server was awesome however. Everyone there as I watched was having a lovely time and caught up making memories with their families. Idk why that lady gave a 1 star review. I read all of her reviews she is legitimately impossible to please. She also thinks she's boojie when in reality she was crying about her last check from the home depot store in Indianapolis. Well tonight was the last draw. I will not be going back to this location again. This was the second time Bri (female White there are more than one) decided to start an argument with me in front of all the customers in the restaurant and she wasn't even our server. The first time the manager had a different server wait on our table but this time the manager did not do anything that I saw. He came out later and I complained to him, and at that time he said we would talk to her. What server starts an argument with a customer in front of other patrons of the establishment. All this was because I asked for a little more cheese to take home with my left over fajitas and the server charged me for more when I didnt have enough for all my fajitas in the first place. I wish my server would have just said let me get the manager to help you, but that is not what happened. I have been going to this establishment for years, and I have seen some good servers leave due to bad management. Normally when I ordered the fajitas I do not get the bean soup and rice, guacamole and sour creme, and get extra cheese so I have enough cheese for all the fajitas. This was ok'ed by a couple managers when Bri had the first argument with me. I am just disgusted with the lack of professionalism. The manager didn't even ask if there was anything he could do? Just to be clear here, I am not mad at my server she is new and I still gave her a tip. I just cant't believe they allow Bri to work there after all the complaints she gets and openly argues and shouts at the customers.
