I came here for lunch yesterday and it was so amazing I brought my other half back today. We ordered an exceptionally large amount of things based on their menu. The total would have been $77. When we went to be rung out they told me 99 dollars. The gentleman spoke very very limited English when I questioned him, after a few attempts of him explaining it seemed he was telling me that the prices are different now not what the menu says. All the menus have the same prices on them and their placard price board have the same prices on them. The price by the way that I was charged yesterday at lunch. evidently the prices have increased. I'm not paying 20 more dollars for a meal that I expected to pay $20 less for . He called the manager who does speak more English and that is the person that I actually spoke with yesterday and told me he would be there in 10 minutes. We waited 20 and he still hadn't arrived. So I itemized the bill took it back up to him and just said as clearly as I could this is what I'm going to pay, we can't wait any longer either charge me this amount or I'll leave and come back and talk to the manager later. He called the man back and then proceeded to ring me out at what all the menu prices say the prices should have been. The food here is admittedly amazingly good but i, who most probably would have been a very regular customer now have a very bitter taste in my mouth about the way I was treated. I understand there are need for Price increases. My industry is going through the same thing. However you don't post all kinds of prices and then expect someone to pay 20% more when they ordered based on what the prices are advertised at that's just not kosher business practice. I left my phone number and asked him to have the manager call me back we'll see if I get that call. The food was definitely five stars but because of this experience they're...
Read moreService is a little confusing… English is VERY obviously NOT their first language. They have a different way of doing things, which, having been there only twice, I am still getting used to. But they were not unfriendly, and nalso are from a different culture so I just personally chalk it up to my own ignorance and enjoy the food. Which I have to say, personally, the FOOD MAKES IT ALL WORTH IT! This stuff is UNREAL! SO good! Full of flavor, fresh, seasoned just PERFECTLY! They have salt and pepper on the table, but I have NO IDEA why! Skip the Baklava… the ONE bad egg. Tried the Napoleon (?) , or I think they called it the “Honey Cake”. Whatever they called, I call it TO DIE FOR! Perfection on a plate!!! Point is: if you can forget the rough edges and FOCUS ON THE FOOD… you will have a great meal, if you can’t, skip this place. Last notes: get the tea with lemon. PERFECT! And very last… the food gives...
Read moreThe food was good price for a small plate. The bread excellent, the lamb not soft enough with lots of fibers.. hard to chew. The service not very welcoming, the place filled exclusively with men, many of which repeatedly stared at me as if they have never seeing a woman out eating with her son.. pretty awkward environment. Im a 55 yo woman, dressed appropriately.. no skin showing, no reason to stare. Took forever to bring the check, then nobody will return my card to sign.. after I waited 5 minutes at the counter -- while I stood in front of someone behind the counter who continued having a chat with another employee and didn't care to ask if I needed something-- then finally the waiter gave me the check. Least to say Im not...
