Fricker's Mason — Restaurant in Symmes Township

Super busy night with the NFL playoffs. There were only two servers on the floor. I recognize this as I was a server many years ago. Our server was overwhelmed. The bar was backed up. The restaurant full. Unfortunately she forgot to ring in half of our order. Busy night, we get it. The manager delivered our food and noticed we were missing our meals. He trouble shot and discovered our server forgot to ring it in. Again, it happens. Busy night. Idk the circumstances, bad scheduling, call offs, hard to tell. However, two servers on a playoff night doesn't work well, so no wonder she forgot to ring in our food. Bless her heart, once she realized what happened, or once her manager spoke to her, she was a mess. Fighting tears. We had 3 of our 4 children with us, who, are more than observant of their surroundings and saw she was over worked and on the verge of tears. We ordered a second beer and it sat at the bar counter for 9 minutes. Warm. And unnoticed. As a leader, that is not okay. It should have been noticed. When the server mentioned to the bar tender the beer she forgot to deliver, the bar tender was short and rude to her. I do not work at this restaurant. I do not know the circumstance. I do not know these folks. I do know tonight was tough for this server. Our ten year old saw the struggle the server was going through and wrote her a note to ensure she knew she did great no matter what. Of course we will be back. Of course we aren't mad. Thank you to the manager who dis not charge us for our miss ring in food. PSA- schedule accordingly for success of your team, train well for success of your team, coach in the moment for the best results...

The servers are really nice but after two lunchtime visits, very inept. We were understanding the first time because a trainee was taking our order. We were charged full price on wing Tuesday and when the French fry order was botched the training server said she'd have to buy a corrected order for us out of her own pocket. I hope this isn't how the franchise owner runs this location!

The second visit was promising because we had a tenured server. Somehow we ordered the same fries and received thicker, sitting-in-grease-way-too-long steak fries without bacon or sour cream. They were gross! Also, it took so long to get our order that I didn't want to deal with the fry situation again. I just left those for the garbage.

My husband ordered a chicken wrap. He was asked if he wanted the jalapeños, salsa, and lettuce that comes on the side. He said "sure. I don't eat that stuff (which is why I said chicken, cheese, and sour cream only), but if it comes on the side, you can go ahead and bring it. My wife might want to pick at it. " When we got the check, he was charged extra for these sides that aren't even a part of the wrap. What a scam!

We also had to ask for our server several times because our drinks ran dry and at the 50 minute mark we needed our check. Our lunch break is only an hour long. Considering we were one of only 3 tables, I can't believe the service is this awful.

We're done with this place. I can't recommend this...

When we first walked in we stood there waiting for someone to take us to a seat. We waited about 5 minutes, until a customer actually told us we could sit where ever we wanted. Never been to this restaurant before we didn’t know, as there was a counter as you walked through the door. We were waited on for food and drink order almost without a problem. Out of one of the beers we ordered! We waited over 45 minutes for our food, as we were almost ready to walk out. There were only approximately 8 people sitting at the bar. Received our food with no silverware! Waitress said she was going to go get us some but started wiping down tables and forgot. I feel as if she was “on something”. Had to go to the bar and get some. Which also took a long time because I believe we weren’t a “regular” customer so she ignored us at the bar waiting. Our food was cold and not very good. Needless to say we were tired and hungry from spending all at Kings Island and just wanted some good food! It was around 10:20 when we got there, and they didn’t close until 1:00am so it wasn’t like we were getting there terribly late! It comes down to extremely poor service and not the greatest food!
