Altamente recomendado. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From the very first bite, Hug-Hes Restaurant and Catering proves its great reputation is well deserved. The bread, served warm and perfectly baked, welcomes you with a soft inside and a crisp crust—an ideal way to start any meal on the right note. The salad is another win: incredibly refreshing, made with clearly fresh ingredients, and topped with a homemade ranch dressing that elevates every bite. That handcrafted touch in the dressing makes all the difference and speaks volumes about the kitchen’s attention to detail. Now, the wings… absolutely divine! An explosion of flavor thanks to a well-balanced blend of spices and the perfect crunch on the outside that contrasts beautifully with the juicy inside. It’s the kind of dish you’d recommend with your eyes closed. As for the chicken fettuccine Alfredo, I’d say it came very close to perfection. The creamy sauce was well done, the chicken cooked just right, but from a very personal point of view, I would have loved it even more with a touch of pancetta sautéed in white wine sauce. That little detail could’ve added another layer of depth to the dish. Still, that’s just a personal suggestion. Finally, the service at the restaurant deserves a special mention: definitely five stars. The staff was warm, attentive, and fast—creating an atmosphere where you feel welcomed from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave. In short, Hug-Hes in Syracuse is a culinary gem with comforting flavors and service that makes you want to return. Highly recommended.

Most people who go here will enjoy the food and experience. The food feels fast casual. Maybe too casual. The food is typical American dinner food. Pasta, Salad, Soup, hamburgers. To me it feels too expensive for American dinning. Although the food is good and your party will enjoy their meal it doesn't stand out. The beer bread is delivered to each table, and is very tasty. However I wonder if it would be better if their menu was reduced, and elevated. There is a few items on the menu like the Philly cheese steak that is VERY small and lacked that philly goodness. Kind of a jack of all trades is a master of none.

We just ate here for dinner because I saw that they had gluten-free options, and I was not disappointed at all. The restaurant was clean and had a very mellow vibe. The servers were awesome and attentive. The best part was that they had so many gluten-free options from salads, sandwiches, and burgers. Their gluten-free bun was the best I have ever had! It was soft and tasted just like a regular bun. I got it with the ruben and can't wait to come back to try more sandwiches and see what their burgers are all about. They even offer a lettuce wrap option, too, if you don't want the bun.

I went into Hughes around 7:30 pm on Valentine's day with my girlfriend. We had a reservation so upon our arrival we were seated immediately(in the corner of a room, with barely enough room to sit) by a polite young hostess. The room is about the size of a standard bedroom except it is crammed with 4 chairs to each of the 4 tables in the room.

We began this calamity with a couple appetizers, mozzarella sticks and wings. Both unusually warm, but very good.

Next was the main course. My girlfriend ordered fettuccine Alfredo pasta which was delicious. I ordered a medium sirloin, mash potatoes, and the soup of the day. My mash potatoes were luke warm, and the soup of the day is best compared to the highly watered down cabbage stew in “Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory”. The steak was extremely bland, when I say “extremely”, I am not exaggerating. It had no smell, no taste, and was awfully tough. The though that immediately proceeded the first bite of my steak was “They must have a bunch of teenagers working in the kitchen”. However, the Lime Ricky I ordered was sharp and refreshing.

Background music was modern, that equivalent to 97.1 or 99.5.

Environment was modern as well. A cross between a sports bar and a updated Rickenbackers. Our table was sticky, wet and wobbly. The staff I spoke...

We had had several friends say that we needed to come try this place. Upon arrival there was a 15-minute wait and then we were seated as promised. Our waitress Ashley was probably one of the best waitresses that I had encountered. Having never been there she probably recommended a few dishes. I had the Portobello chicken and my wife had the Hawaiian hamburger. The hamburger was absolutely amazing and I thought it was better than my dish. The portobello mushroom was not my favorite but it was okay when I mention this to the waitress she said is there anything that we could do swap it out or anything. I am not a picky person but to my surprise she refunded my meal which I did not ask for nor expect. One of my favorite things there was the beer batter bread. It was so good we asked her to bring a second one. I nearly filled up on the bread it was so good. We ended up purchasing a pouch to make the bread at our home. And as a sweet treat the waitress gave us two of their sugar cookies. They were amazing. My overall opinion was the customer service here was spot on and although my dish wasn't the best I will definitely be returning and trying something else because I know their other dishes are probably just top notch. The food was presentable in such a way that was pleasing to...

Will someone train the hostess personnel better…upon entering this location today my brother and I were greeted by “Peyton” and she asked “can I help you with anything?” As opposed to saying hello and or asking us how we’re doing instead. Obviously when people enter your establishment they’re there to eat right? Right! So I don’t understand why she asked that question. And I noticed she said the same question to others that entered after we had sat down. It’s very off putting and doesn’t make sense. The atmosphere is very hum drum. Our server was great. Didn’t catch her name but she’s blonde haired. Food is good all around. The bread was cold though and it’s usually warmer when we’ve been before. We’ve been here before several times over the years but the hostess really needs more training on social skills and interaction. UPDATE: visited again just today on May 31st. The girl Peyton still asks the same question upon entering. She obviously has not been talked to. The manager lady was standing right next to her. She’s not very friendly either. Our server was great though! Food was great. But that service at the front…piss...
