We ordered the chicken sandwich, a few tenders, Mac and cheese, coleslaw and fries. The chicken sandwich was delicious. The seasoning on the chicken is a great blend of spices and really makes this sandwich perfect. They did add Mayo (which I don’t mind) but for people who do, ask for no Mayo. I would say this was better than the Chick-fil-a chicken sandwich so if looking to get away from CFA, I’d highly recommend The Bird. The tenders were good too. They were more like flatter chicken breasts than what i am used to for tenders but that’s was better anyways. I felt like I was getting more for my money. Speaking of which, this place has very competitive pricing too! Mac and cheese wasn’t anything special but if you prefer that over coleslaw or French fries, def try it out! The coleslaw was kind f frozen when I got it so I did let it thaw a bit first before diving too much into it. Ultimately, it ended up being pretty good. Nothing outstanding but this place is made for the chicken not the sides! I also ordered the market salad during a separate visit. It was quite large for the price and had super fresh ingredients. I wish it had more sugar snap peas than it did but I was still satisfied. They also put the mini bites in a separate container so they didn’t mix with the salad before ready to eat. I love that! Overall, I’m very happy to live so close to this place and will be checking them out pretty regularly.

We decided to try The Bird for the first time on Saturday. Called in our order and it was ready in 15 minutes. We ordered the family feast which comes with choice of 10 tenders or 30 bites, 2 large side and a half dozen cornpones w/ raspberry butter for $25. We went with half tenders/half bites, and chose mashed potatoes and gravy, and Mac n cheese as our two sides. The chicken was delicious and had great flavor. The mashed potatoes and country gravy were really good, and the potatoes didn't taste like they were instant so that made me happy. Husband really enjoyed the Mac n cheese. The cornpones were alright and I really liked the raspberry butter. The three sauces we chose were the wing sauce, honey mustard, and fry sauce. Wing sauce had a little sweetness but good kick. Loved the honey mustard. I didn't try the fry sauce but everyone else liked it. Overall we were really impressed and happy. Definitely recommend and will be returning.
MMMM
Upon reviewing The Bird in Syracuse, I found that the portion sizes of their fry sauce were inadequate, with only one small container provided for three tenders and fries. Furthermore, I was disappointed to learn that additional containers of fry sauce were available at an extra cost of 50 cents each, which I consider to be excessive. Considering the already high price of $10 for three tenders with fries, I believe this additional charge for sauce to be unreasonable. As a result, I regret to say that this experience has left me with a negative impression of The Bird. In the interest of constructive feedback, I would suggest that The Bird consider providing larger portions of fry sauce with their meals or offering additional sauce at no extra cost to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Edit: this change is being made to reflect my latest experience here which was horrible. First of all, our food took 20+ minutes to come out despite it being a slow time for the establishment. When we got our food thr chickent was hard, overcooked, and not flavorful like it was every other visit. They also forgot one of the side dishes for a meal which was frustrating as we took a longish drive to get there.

I called the establishment to fix the issue, and it took 3 attempts at calling for them to answer. When they finally answered they didn't seem to care that much about the mistake and our situation, but they offered to mend the situation by giving us an upgraded size of fries for the inconvenience (a large, as the employee stated). I was okay with this solution and we went to pick up the fries a few hours later.

To my surprise, they stated they never said they would give us a large fry. I find this incredible frustrating as someone who worked in the customer service industry for over a decade, these young kids have little to no concept of customer service or organization/communication. We went out of our way to make up for THEIR mistake and weren't appropriately treated or compensated. I don't know if I will be returning after this entire experience, from poor customer service to overcooked and hard, unflavored chicken. Disappointing.

Amazing chicken!!!...

My family and I stopped in here after a recent visit to Antelope island when most, if not all, restaurants were only offering takeout due to Covid-19. We ordered the family feast and given the number of walk ins and orders going out, we expected to wait a long time. Our wait was only about 5-10 minutes, which wasn't bad at all given the circumstances.

At the time of our visit, the family feast was $27, rather than the $25 shown in other photos. The chicken tenders were good - nice crumb breading; tender and moist with good flavor. The mashed potatoes and gravy were decent but lacked salt. Dipping the chicken into the gravy remedied that issue nicely. For our second side, we chose the mac and cheese, which looked very average, but tasted great. The cheese was very creamy, not watery or bitter, and had great flavor. The meal also comes with 6 corn dodgers that had just slightly crispy edges - were they possibly baked in cast iron?!?! They weren't super buttery, but they were good.

Overall I would say it was a pretty good value. The family feast fed 3 hungry adults with a little to spare, so I would say it feeds 3-5 depending on how hungry you are & maybe more if you're feeding kiddos. None of us had our socks knocked off, but everything satisfied, and did it at a fair price. I will stop in again when this pandemic is over. Be...
