And the winner of the 2018 worst restaurant experience is....Thai Jasmine ! Is not even November and I can award this restaurant with my worst culinary experience this year. I went to Antelope Island and on my way back I decided to stop by this place after checking it’s reviews : excellent food , great buffet , owners really nice and a bunch of blah blah blah. First , this place could be a restaurant , a hardware store or a dande studio. Its ambiance is tacky , dingy and very messy. Well , I have eaten in some “peculiar” places in the past and decided to give it a go.My first mistake was to ask for the buffet without even checking it...As I said , my mistake.Terrible buffet ! Only the Pad Thai and the watermelon (yes , the watermelon) were decent. The rice , the soap , the “Masaman” etc were absolutely rubbish.A Gordon’s Ramsey kitchen nightmare , I’m afraid.Terrible. My friend got some Pad Thai and waited for somebody to pick up his plate from his table once e finished.Nobody came and he thought that he would have to take it somewhere and pick up a new plate. While he was doing that , a fat man sitting on a round table by the buffet told him to go back and leave his plate on the table (I later realized that was the owner) on a very rude and condescending way.My friend , who is a nice guy went back and left his plate on the table.Nobody came to pick up any of the plates (I added to pics for you guys to see). Not only rude but a pig , seems like. We should have left then but my friend was ok with it and tried to eat some of that rubbish they call “food” but he couldn’t , of course. Not only a terrible place but poor management. If this place would closed it doors would be a favour to its community and city. Congratulations for providing my worst culinary...

Noodles, I consider overcooked, like when they all stick together and overall flavor is lacking, it's more salt flavor, truly lacking that authentic, great tasting sauce.
Whoever greeted us was pleasant and kind. My wife liked the yellow curry as did I; and the Red Curry I tried last week.
So, the kitchen, according to the reviews I read prior to posting this one, is inconsistent.
I don't just like Thai food, I love it. So this review is from the heart. This restaurant could be a champion of great Thai food, but it is lacking, and the interior is downright awful. I would not sit down to eat in there, and at 8 on a weeknight, no one else is either.
There are not a ton of recent reviews about this restaurant, I can see why. People don't complain about restaurants, they simply don't go to them. I feel bad posting this, but the truth is what it is.
I've only eaten food from here twice, but after seeing the interior I started wondering about the kitchen. I've never left a dish of Pad Thai unfinished, this one I did..
Would I return? Not if I have...
Read moreThe food was great and the location is easy to get to. There's accessible parking and it's nearby other shops. The staff were really nice and my take out order was ready super fast. They also were able to accommodate my food allergies, which isn't always the case with all southeast Asian restaurants around here.
I will agree with other reviews that the curry is mainly bamboo shoots. It was still good. But more veggie variety would be nice, chicken was a good portion, though. You get large portions with every meal (I could easily eat one for two full meals). The fried spring rolls were great and I love the sauce! We also got the sweet and sour chicken, and my fiance normally only likes American Chinese food, but I figured it was a safe bet for him. It's much lighter (although I don't know that it's healthier, it's still takeout) than what you get in most Chinese American restaurants -- more veggies and the sauce is lighter and it's quite refreshing.
Overall, I'd recommend giving them a try. I think they've got something for anyone. Being newer to this area, it's the best Thai I've found north of Salt Lake, and I love that it's family owned. Great food and its a...
