A&W Restaurant — Restaurant in Tacoma

Wow. The service was AWFUL and food was below average. Ordered at the drive thru, no polite greeting, no totals given, no asking what dipping sauces offered for our 3 different chicken strip meals, just told to pull up the window after we ordered.

When we got to the window, I realized we missed an item to order. I asked to place another order, since no one was in line behind me, and the woman responded, "You're supposed to do that back there." while pointing to the drive thru speaker. She was incredibly rude through the payment process for our initial order, and second order. I checked for name tags, and it didn't appear that the two women who assisted us thought they were necessary. After looking through other reviews, it's probably so we can't call them out by name.

Two out of three drinks were not correct. We were given 3 Pepsis even though we ordered an iced tea and Dr. Pepper as well. Plus, the sodas were all very flat. Chicken nuggets and chicken strips were pretty soggy as well. As mentioned before, we were never offered any dipping sauce for any of our meals either. We just moved to the area this weekend, so we don't really have anything at home for condiments yet. And we don't think we will be visiting them again...

Took 45 minutes in the drive through at 8pm on Wednesday. Asked three times and got frustrated with no response so I just ordered ice water and was still charged $3 for pop, but they wanted an extra .50 for sauce. Then they informed us after waiting 30 minutes it would be another 10 for cheese curds that we ordered 15 minutes before. We asked to refund the cheese curds and just give us our food. They refunded the cheese curds, and still made us pull around to the side and wait another 15 minutes for them to forget half our burgers. So upset I can’t even eat the 4 fries they did remember. I have always been a fan of a&w. Even when growing up in Tacoma South of our High school we all hung out at the Spanaway area. After watching our favorite drive in movie wed all pile into dads station wagon and off we go to our favorite hangout spot handsome young air force or McCord. Cadets. Would be checking out all the young highshool grads for possible date s or even a serious. Penpal relationship. Might happen. Still love those root beer floats. And there's agreat selection of cheeseburgers and generous supplies Crist crunchy chicken nuggets. Too since. KFC has joined A&W. ...
