Denny's — Restaurant in Tacoma

Who ever cooks the food, amazing job you definitely have an eye for detail and presentation. This is a person who tried their damnedest to make your food appear just like it's represented in the menu. Also the taste is spot on. He or she deserves to be in a higher end restaurant with quality pay.

The waitresses on the other hand. Probably would do better with some corporate training from Denny's. They don't greet you when you come in, they will stare at you and make eye contact, but not in a "how can I help you" manner but more like "what are these people doing here in the door way ?"

Once you are seated, and that's if you are seated because one would assume there is a possible chance you will just walk out from standing too long. You will be given menus and exactly the same amount of attention your state senator has for fixing problems. That's is to say none.

Drinks won't get refilled unless mentioned, asked, signaled, or perhaps with a flare gun.

But it's satisfying to know the waitresses all are friends. Because they spend the time not helping you instead bonding with each other. Such as interactive story telling of other customers, running around the counter joking and generally having a great time in the school locker room.

Once you do pay, and write your tip in. The cashier will ring out the wrong tip usually with higher amount. My case is a dollar more. Then nonchalantly says " I can have a manager come fix it" as in maybe I would be ok with it.

Don't go to this Denny's, there are a multitude of places near by still on foot that deserves your money.

It's a shame because the person responsible for making the food is wonderful and focused. Too bad the wait staff is...

I brought my g/son & great nephew to get sum chocolate pancakes and our server (Tony) was sooooo nice, polite, courteous, and very accommodating. He even gave the boys $$ so they could try and win a price from the game machine in front. Tony was the BEST server I've come across in a loooong while! So much different than the Denny's in Fife, where we went to first! The one in Fife... the lady looked dead in my eyes when we came in. And NEVER came from behind the counter to greet nor seat us!! Two guys walked in after us, and she literally pulled out menus, addressed them, then came from behind the counter and preceeded to seat the gentlemen. After, she walked right back to her same spot she was in, and just stared at me. I asked can we be seated, but she rudely said "I asked if you wanted to be seated" and I told her I couldn't hear her from back there & asked her to repeat(there's music playing, kitchen workers & seated guess noise, it really was hard to hear her). She rolled her eye's, and I was like.. "Yunno what...., never mind. Come on boys let's just leave"... and we did just that. Her vibe was so stank, I didn't want to order NOTHING from her or that Denny's (location). I didn't want to take a chance of getting our food with the Denny's "secret sauce"!! (🤮). Do urself a favor & don't take that kinda chance too! I will be emailing corporate office as well! But all of that was made up for with Tony at the Hosmer location! Thanks Tony, u deserve this tip I'm leaving...

I wish I could give zero stars. I will never go to Dennys on Hosmer. The manager was so rude. We sat down our waitress was an older lady. She was so rude. She talked to us like we were children. And when we said thank you she would ignore us. My cousin order the chocolate banana pancakes and accidentally pointed to the wrong item. The waitress noticed and so what do you want? Because you pointing at the wrong item? My cousin said the pancakes were hard. I ordered the Zesty Nachos it was freezing cold so I let them know I was very nice the waitress just took the plate and didn't say anything. Then when it came back everything was cold except the chips. The Queso freezing the chili freezing and it tasted like it just came out of the can or container so I brought my food up to the counter and asked for the manager. I said I have a quick question is the Queso and chili on the nachos supposed to be cold. And she (the manager) replied what more do you want? I watched them remake it. I can stick in the microwave for you if that will make you feel better. She never answered my question if it’s supposed to be cold she just kept saying i don't know what more you want. I told her you know what I’m not paying for this. So she took the no bid after being so rude to me and took it off the bill. After being treated so horribly my cousin didn't even want to finish her food she packed and we left that's how horrible this place is. We will...
