We had a great time at Cheney Stadium with my son School. There was lots to enjoy not to mention it couldn't have been a more beautiful day to go to the ballpark and enjoy a good high scoring lots of action game with of course the outcome being the Tacoma Rainiers Victorious. It being a Friday night after a nice win its great to enjoy a fireworks show. Only thing that was a little frustrating was when I chased down a foul ball that happened to bounce in front of me and into a food stand having the worker tell me he could not give me the ball he had to give it to a kid even though I told him it would be for my son he held the ball and when a group of kids came running they passed the stand that I was at and when my son came behind the group and I called him over to me and said this is my son that I wanted to get the ball to instead of giving it to my son that of course is a kid and that's who he said he had to give it to was a kid he tossed the ball over my son and into the group of kids that had now came over to where me and my son were standing. Luckily I have fast and strong hand so I snatched the ball out of the air and smiled while the kids try to take it out of my hand only for me to hand it over to my son and watch him smile and run off while the other kids followed him. what made him super excited was when he got that ball signed by Tacoma Rainiers...
Read moreAh, Cheney Stadium, where the game of musical chairs meets America's favorite pastime! I had the privilege of witnessing the Rainiers' baseball extravaganza, and let me tell you, it was a symphony of seat-hopping orchestrated by the mischievous kids who apparently thought they were at a game of musical chairs. Who knew baseball games were secretly training grounds for the next generation of seat-scofflaws?
The parking situation was a wild ride of its own, reminiscent of a scavenger hunt where finding a spot felt like winning the jackpot. I half-expected a hidden treasure map to guide me to the elusive parking space, but alas, Google Maps had to suffice.
Now, let's talk about the usher who had the audacity to turn the tables on those mischievous seat-snatchers. "Sit wherever you want!" they declared, turning Cheney Stadium into a whimsical carnival of spontaneous seat changes. Move over, musical chairs – it's all about the baseball seat shuffle now!
But fear not, dear reader, for salvation came in the form of good beer and decent food. As I savored my hot dog and sipped my cold brew, I couldn't help but chuckle at the chaos and camaraderie that defined this unique Cheney Stadium experience. So, despite the parking escapade and the ever-changing seats, I left with a belly full of laughter, food, and a newfound appreciation for the art of the game-day...
Read moreWe had a wonderful time at the game. If you bring babies like my family did. Don't bring car seats and try to bring a small diaper bag instead of your full size one. The space between the seats is very small. It's like being on a small aircraft. The leg room is minimal and the space between the seats is pretty much non-existent. We kept the kids in our laps the whole time. So only bring a chest or back carrier for the babies. The food was good not great but it's to be expected. The places are card only no cash. I needed a tampon and didn't have a quarter for the bathroom machine. I had dollars and tried to get change from the food places but none of them could help me. My sister eventually found a quarter thankfully. So ladies make sure you either bring quarters or tampons/pads with you. We had no issue bringing in her diaper bag and car seat. They have you empty your pockets of metal, walk through a metal detector, then security looked through the diaper bag. It was the kids first game. You can get your "first game certificate" at customer service. This game they were also passing out the blue and red hat you see in the picture. We also bought the pink toddler hat for $25 and then my husband got a hat for $40. It was a fun family outing and would recommend to others. Next time I go I'll be...
