Jubilee Burger — Restaurant in Tacoma

I went in on May 28th which would be considered one of the worst experiences I have ever had.

I did a order from Grubhub (which in the past takes no longer than 5-10 minutes) which took a total of 20 minutes (10 minutes to determine whether I did order or not, and another 10 minutes to receive my order. Before receiving the order, I could hear the manager say in the kitchen to the kitchen staff "Okay, all mobile orders are done." They all then twiddling their thumbs for 30 seconds, and then proceeded to go to the 3 screens for the Mobile ordering process to see if their internet was back up and running. It took 10 minutes, and had it not been for one of the cooks in the kitchen notice I was there, and ask if I was waiting on something, I would have been sitting there for eons given their lack of courtesy. After saying "Yes, I am waiting for a GrubHub pickup," then who seems to be the manager (Woman, short hair) proceeds to give me the food, without any acknowledgement that I was sitting there for a while, no apologies for the miscommunication, no apologies for the wait, just handed me the food wthout even directing eye contact. They then proceeded to get me my Oreo shake out of the freezer in the back after making it 5 minutes before my whole order was ready (Talk about freshly prepared). After receiving my order, I looked in the bag, only to realize the "Fry Sauce" that normally gets charged an extra $0.25 for was missing. I had mentioned that and she again had her back turned and said nothing other than "politely" responding to my thank you.

Behavior seemed unprofessional and rather judgmental (and reading other reviews, it seems that this is a normal attitude for the person I am referring to). and my order sat for 2 minutes under the heating lamp without anyone stating it was ready while I was sitting near the stool at the front counter (Visible). I live in the area, and most certainly will not return with this service provided.

I would warn others from this, as they seem to publicly prioritize in person orders over a order that could have been done in less than 5 minutes. During this visit, 2 other in person orders were taken and given to the customer before the mobile orders.

Today was a 2nd chance to make up a first time mistake. The whole entire order was wrong. The cashier fellow who was young and could tell inexperienced.he was friendly. Just wrote down things wrong. I have 4 children ages 12,11,9,and 7. 3 have special needs. Today it was a older grumpy cashier who down right was mean, uncaring and doesnt need to be in customer service . Her actions, point blanc , shouldve gotten her fired immediately. My kids and i were excited to get our order taken. We asked for shakes and she rudely snapped we r out of ice cream for shakes. Well we were disappointed. She says to some other person also waiting to order well since they arnt ordering ill take your order...my 9 and 12 yr olds said well just take soda...she rudely turns half turn gives an ugly face and says you have to have your parents here to order. I was less than 4 ft away holding my 7 yr old nonverbal autistic son because he was hungry. As soon as i heard her smart mouth my little girl i immediately said im right here. She then turned away from us walked to the back by the ice machine ,i asked several times is there a manager i could talk to. She used the filling of the ice bucket to continue to ignore me .i know she heard me because she looked right at me and said something under her breath then slammed the door . I was so shocked that this place would have such a person like her to represent there company. She needs some instructions on how to better serve paying customers. The harsh tone in her voice caused my other son 12 to have a sensory meltdown. If you know anyone on the spectrum, they can react to any situation differently. The downright rude, disrespectful, uncaring attitude was the final straw. I've never ever felt so humiliated. My children were in tears because of this woman. They were so upset cause they thought they did something wrong. I assured them it was not anything they said or did. I feel bad for the owners to have to settle for help like her. I know the pandemic has hurt business around town. This woman should be ashamed of herself.
