The pizza is sold at the Tahlequah Drug Co. because it is “Dope!”
Included with this review is a picture of the best pizza in Tahlequah, maybe even northeastern Oklahoma. My wife picked it, The Meathead. An amazing 14” pie loaded with Italian meaty goodness; meatballs, sausage, prosciutto, pepperoni and salami, beautifully arranged on a layer of marinara sauce and mozzarella. But wait there is more. Look closely at the picture, fresh basil. The crust, a work of artistic perfection. Thin crisp immaculate. This is a pizza made with pride. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any tastier the owner brought out a small cup of his mild Calabrian pepper chili sauce. Ask for it. A must. Use it to dip or spread on the pizza.
So, the ambiance is a little different. Kind of like an old timey drug store diner feel. Great service. Super friendly owner. More than pizza. Pictures of the big Italian menu are with this review. The Menu is also on line.
The restaurant is easy to find. Don’t look for Lena's Italian Kitchen, look for the Tahlequah Drug Co. red brick building on the south of Hwy 62, right next to the McDonald’s. Park, go in, you are there.

Sure, you’ll wait a minute, and the wait staff is young, but you’ll be happy you stopped by!
P.S. if you like it SPICY, get that Diavolo Pizza, that my dad loves so much! It’s got honey in the sauce!!
And if you’re not a food critic, just stop by for an Italian cream soda or gelato and ask him about where this came from. He’ll light up talking about her!! ❤️
So happy to finally have a locally owned, hand crafted, family traditions, recipes dating generations back, Italian restaurant!! You don’t...
Read moreThe food tastes great. I've tried their ravioli, pizza, a sandwich, caesar side salad, tomato soup, & a dessert item. The manager and all the staff seems pleasantly nice. The restaurant's atmosphere is in a pharmacy setting but you still get the restaurant feel, it's a good combination. Go in, order, pick up medicine, enjoy some fine dining, & grab you some gifts for some family and/or friends; they have a variety of gift items inside. I will definitely be back, qnot just for the convenience, but for the delicious...
