Chow Time Grill & Buffet — Restaurant in Tallahassee

Chow Time grill a buffet style restaurant, with a large selection of dishes seafood, including sushi, salads fixings, desserts, and Chinese dishes. Plenty of clean plates gloves available and wrapped silverware, all staff was wearing masks tables are set pretty far apart. Florist and tables were clean empty dishes were removed without request. The staff was friendly and helpful. Lighting was very good. Now for the food what you came here for anyway I I enjoyed the food very. much, one thing in particular I love cabbage but if it's overcooked I am not happy I like it a little green this however was not green but it was really delicious it was mostly White and usually when it's mostly white it is soggy and tasteless but this was really good it was still kind of crunchy will not crunchy it had a bite to it and it taste it had lots of flavor tasted great. Okay enough about the cabbage. I would have wished for more vegetables they were quite a few they were green beans there was like squash, I can't remember the rest but I still wished for more I'm not a real vegetable person. If you love shrimp you will be in heaven that fried shrimp steamed shrimp boiled shrimp I can't eat shrimp but it did have other fish that chicken, I don't remember much beef. Enjoy your meal. Went back in October 2022 had a little trouble with the server. She seemed to think that we were going to do she seemed to think that we were going to do a dining dash even though there was about 10 of us. The others in the group said she was watching us even after she refreshed our drinks she and some of her co-workers were watching our group. And she seemed to have given someone in our group so nasty attitude. The person said she believed it was caused because we were black we had maybe three small children and one teenager. We were celebrating birthdays for One adult that was there and one child. She did not speak to me directly so I cannot speak to the facts of the attitude. The place is all right the food was fine. My only complaint and it's my problem not theirs nothing wrong with what they did but a lot of the choices had shrimp in it or was shrimp, I cannot eat shrimp. So if you're a shrimp lover this is the place for you they did have plenty of other dishes that I could enjoy and did. I may go back there at least one more time third time's the charm, and that will decide it for me right now I sort of recommend but not...

DO NOT EAT HERE !! ITS A LONG ONE !! Food was blah all you can eat sea food with the littlest crabs with barely any meat. The people re stocking the food for the buffet with the cart ran over my foot 2 separate times a didn’t even apologize. They put us in a room in the back we asked to be closer to food so it could be easier for our parents to get the food an walk to the table since we where so far we where told “ this is okay for you you have a party of 7” an denied us to move. Then they forgot a drink an it took 10 mins for that one person to get a drink with their food. BUT THE BEST PART !! I got hibachi I tipped $8 ! (Keep this in mind ). We had a party of 7 3 where on 1 check a then 4 was on the other check. My mother with the 3 on her check said she would leave tip witch was $20! Pretty good if you ask me I mean they did just bring us drinks a was all ready pretty rude a the food was not that great. As leaving one of the guys witch I don’t remember helping us AT ALL! As I am walking he screams in front of all the people in the room eating their food “ NO TIP. “ why you no leave tip” I explained to him I left cash at hibachi an my mom paid the tip from her bill. That I wasn’t going to. He then proceeded to say I need to leave a tip. I was getting embarrassed with people watching us. I said okay I wrote on the paper “1.00 witch got him even more angry. Lol that was my goal for how he treated me an my family. He then goes to the back speaking his language you can tell he was so mad everyone could hear him from the dining. My brother an I then proceeded to go get the manger he looked like in the beginning he would handle the situation. He looked pissed ! He asked me to show him the guy we do an they are speaking there language an you can tell the manger was cursing an telling him not to do that again. Then the guys starts arguing with my brother an i again an the manger just walks away. An left us like that didn’t apologize or anything. We paid our $100 bill an tipped $28 all together. We will NEVER EVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN. FIND...

The only thing the place cares about is how much tip you're going to leave. Granted, we had a party of 7. Two separate groups, one family. Out of 7, 4 were children. 1pm on Sunday afternoon. Very busy, it took 15 min to find a place to park. Food was OK, at best, a lot of stuff was either empty or undercooked. We get our bill (s) 2 of them. I gave my debit card, and the other member decided to pay up front at the cashier. We went to leave, and the other member noticed an $11.00 charge added to the bill. So, I checked mine, and it was $17.00 added. We inquire at register, and the man tells us that's the tip. I already left a tip when I paid? We'll, their waitresses, work hard and deserve extra, he responded.. I explained that I tip on service and not on expectation of said server.. He then proceeded to berate my 70 year old mother and says "why you don't want to leave a great tip?" You just want to leave a dollar.. Now, mind you, I have NEVER just left a 1$, even if the service was horrible. Anyways, he verbally assaulting my elderly mother, calling her a bad person, talking loudly, and won't stop. I Interferred and told him he was not allowed to talk to her like that. He then tells me she needed to pay his workers great tips.. My mother ALWAYS tips well.. Long story short, I made him give me a refund on my debit card, paid him the cash that I owed for the food, and we will not be going back. I refuse to pay your workers a living wage. That's your job. Tips are a bonus and are to be determined by how well your service is. Refilling 3 drinks during our encounter does not warrant a $38.00 tip.. Sorry, not sorry! Check your tickets, people..
