El Jalisco Apalachee Parkway Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Tallahassee

I hate to be writing this review because I have always loved el jalisco (the monroe location). I was disappointed this time by the lack of care with online orders. I forgave the slow service when it came to food. The bartender who was the most gracious person I met there (and the reason I didnt give 1 star), told me they tend to forget online orders due to it being on a different system and made the best spicy drink I had in a long time. Her service was excellent and I wish I knew her name so she could be mentioned. Thank goodness for checking my bag after waiting for an extra 30 mins for food I ordered 10mins before my arrival. Even after waiting they were missing obvious items like the guacamole I paid $3 for and the 1 Xtra cup of sour cream which I noticed before leaving, but after getting all the way home, I realized they also forgot about my soft shells for my three amigos. I was so disappointed, but I made due because I did not feel like going back. I was looking for the obvious, but failed to look for the essential. Check everything at this location. I never had a problem before, but maybe management is stretching themselves too thin. Do better, or just stick to what has been bringing you...

Came here Saturday night for a late Valentine’s dinner date with my Fiancé and our server was immediately kinda rude and confused. First thing she said to us was, “separate checks?” And we both looked at her like no??? Then she left and came back and I ordered a moscow mule and she said no only whats on the menu, but I have ordered it before…. So, I just got a margarita and it was pretty bad, tasted like straight tequila. My fiancé got a blue lagoon that was also pretty bad. I asked her to take the drinks back, we were still going to pay for them not a big deal but she told me she wouldn't take his back because he put his straw wrapper in it. And left it on the table forever. A little bit after my fiancé went to the bar and easily got me a moscow mule that was very good! And the bartender was awesome and super nice I had to ask him to throw out the other drink because our server would not. The food was very good too and came out fast. But our server mostly ignored us and sat down the row on her phone. As seen in picture. Maybe she was having a bad day but she was confused and kinda rude the whole time did not seem like she wanted to be...

Before I continue, let me just say I consider myself an avid El Jalisco connoisseur. I go there all the time for the great lunch specials and fast service. I’ve had very few negative experiences, but this was one of them. I normally go to the one on North Monroe, but I was at a friend’s house and this location was more convenient. The chips took awhile to get to the table and when they did the salsa was off and very plain. I assume someone just didn’t follow the normal recipe. On top of that everything else was just off.
