Kacey's Buffet — Restaurant in Tallahassee

Wanted to enjoy a buffet today, called Kaycee’s to see what was on the menu and they had my favorite Salisbury steak. We get our seats and head to the buffet to fix our plates. There were only 3 half pieces of Salisbury steaks in a pool of gravy so we ask the gentleman manning the bar if he could bring out some more. He goes to the back and comes back and says it will be 15 minutes. We are like cool…then we get to the fried chicken which looked like it had been sitting there since lunch it is now almost 6pm. Ask the gentleman again can we get some fresh fried chicken he then goes to the back and yells/complains about us in Spanish (yes, I can comprehend Spanish). He then comes back and says 15 minutes. At that point I’m a little perturbed and say why does everything take 15 minutes, if this is a buffet it should be coming out fresh and in a timely manner. He then proceeds to say and I quote “There are other items on the bar, if you are going to complain about it the you can just leave”! I then say every time we come here we have to ask for fresh or more food (the last time we were here there were people waiting for fried chicken which took 15 minutes). At that point my girlfriend who is usually extremely vocal about these situations says let’s go to Sam’s Buffet, which is always FRESH AND FULL OF CHOICES!!!!!!! It started out bad. Only table available was dirty but we had no choice but to sit there. Server came & huffing cleared it but never acknowledged us. Came back with, whatdoya want to drink. Came back & placed on table & threw the straws down. We have lived here 2 yrs & wanted to try this business & was excited to finally be there & looking 4ward to Friday fish. OMG it was so greasy I used 4 napkins just picking it up. Chicken was so greasy too. Mac & chz horrible. Limas no flavor. Green beans tasted tinny. Yellow cake w/frosting dry. Banana pudding canned. My husband said his chz grits were good. The server never became pleasant til Bill time. Then all smiles. This was not a good xperience start to finish. I'm sad because we had looked 4ward to coming here & spending our cash for a pleasant lunch. We will not give them a 2nd chance. When we went to pay there was not even any cordiality. This is a feeding business if u have no concept of fresh or good tasting items. And if u wish to b treated briskly. We left a tip grudgingly. She didn't cook the food but she could sure use a lesson on how to b a server that makes her customers want to return. This place stays busy....WHY... except for all u can...

I went here with me and my grandkids I was greeted told to sit down the young lady came to my table took my drinks. She was young but not too young. The food was mediocre the only thing that was good was the chicken. The yams were big as my fist ridiculous. The collard greens looked as if they came from a can unseasoned and nasty. The same server that was waiting on me spoke harshly to a older woman because she tried to move the table to fit it to her chest because the tables are so far away from you you have to sit all the way up to eat. I told the manager some Asian lady, she seemed that she didn't care the young lady got mad and said something under her breath out loud and walked off. The Asian lady which I'm sure is the owner said nothing. The old lady was sad and looked like she wanted to cry. I would never eat here again they need to update this restaurant for the prices they charge, and they need to hire a new cook who actually knows how to cook everything in here looks old...
