Service was great. Maya was really one of the friendliest people I’ve met. Made my first time eating here a great experience, expect me to be here more !!!!

Edit- My original post was made about a month ago. I have no complaints since then. Social vegan is one of the few places in Tallahassee that i can eat at. ( due to my dietary restrictions.) Walking in they have one of the best services that you can ask for. Nice, respectful the whole nine yards. I have had many encounters with the manager and she is one of the nicest people I have met, very humble and proud of her establishment and all of its success. Literally eating here is one of my Sunday routines.

Now the bad. If you ordering online DONT. I have had TOO many instances where I could not contact the driver or false pick ups. Remind you this is through their personal website, but do not worry they will stop at nothing to tell you how this is DoorDash's fault. Granted that is their chosen app to order food, the costumer is not made aware of this entity. Instead it is Social Vegan's website that informs you of your order. (and It does not do well at this). They will not do remakes, which is understandable because it may result in huge losses of revenue but their website may need a huge makeover to help customers receive their orders.

Was offered a free meal next visit that I declined because I honestly love this place and support them in all their endeavors. I used to call it " My little bit of Something in the City of Nothing." I wish my interaction with the manager went better because she always been sweet and this instance does not change my mind about the quality of Social Vegan's in-house food or service. I can however begged the establishment to please work on your app or have your store on the doordash app so i can directly contact my drivers.

This place is beyond solid. I've been here twice in 24 hours. I started with the half nachos and fried oyster mushrooms. The fried food was fantastic, and not overly oily, the remoulade dipping sauce was tangy and delicious which compliments the mushrooms well.

Today is the chickn Philly. The chickn tasted similar to the daring brand (just so you know what to expect going into it,) the build of the sandwich consists of the traditional onion and pepper blend. What made it stand above was the little extra touches with the mayo and mustard drizzle, which gave it a more authentic Philly feel. Packed with unnecessary but welcome toppings on the side to add to the sandwich (lettuce, tomato, pickle, and pickled jalapeño) you can add more to yours to make it feel much bigger than it already is, and it is already decently thicc.

The Social Vegan is definitely worth the visit. I think it has yet to develop its best dish, but since I am already maxing the review score, I just mean that they could one day obtain a Zagat guide award. It’s unfortunate that the expectations that truthfully had for this establishment didn’t play out the way I would’ve wanted . I decided to try the Cajuns Shrimp Linguini , first things first the plate was humongous now, of course I’m not complaining about the portion, but it definitely was way much than I expected and for me to not even enjoy, the taste was disappointing. The pasta itself was super spicy in my opinion and lacked flavor as well as salt, the spices and cashews use for the sauce had a very bland, overpowering taste that I couldn’t stomach. I also had the side of fries which were definitely delicious and well seasoned and I really enjoyed those . Now the customer service was A1! The hostess was very inviting super nice and sweet personality . They also have amazing drinks that contain alcohol if your of age of course my favorite was the “Rattler” super sweet and with the perfect kick amount . I would definitely like to come back here and try something else, so probably change my perspective, but the options that I did choose was was not up to par.
