Man, am I so glad to have Blue Turkey Restaurant in Tallahassee!

After living in Germany for a time and eating doner kebab what felt like at least once a day, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Blue Turkey's menu for the first time. Actual, authentic doner, complete with the mixed salat veggies, fresh bread, and a yummy beet yogurt sauce! Only thing missing is all of the grease like the street variety, but I can't fault them for that. I loved every bite and now I've been back 3 times in a week! They also offer a variety of family recipes and individual takes on other Turkish dishes like the space shuttles and cheezlava (which is especially good). Plus, if you order early enough, you could get on the list for the brunch on Sundays. It's such a treat for the eyes and tastebuds with all of its colors and rainbow of flavors!

I ordered online several days ahead of time for three people. I ordered both chicken and beef Berlin style Doners and some cheezlava. We thought all the food was excellent and enjoyed it very much. We particularly liked the sauces. The cheezlava was terrific and much less sweet then its Greek counterpart. I made a request to leave off the tomatoes on one of the sandwiches and was pleased they did . Other restaurant pickup orders seem to ignore special requests. I received an email reminding me of my order on day I was to pick it up. I got there at the time scheduled and called them as they requested and they quickly brought out my order. The whole experience from ordering, to picking up and especially eating the delicious food was great. I highly recommend Blue Turkey and I will definitely order...

Excellent, fresh, flavorful Turkish food, served by some of the nicest people around, and offering great options for vegetarian/vegan folks! I especially recommend the vegetarian Berlin-style doner, with its thinly-sliced, crispy, flavorful tofu strips served on the freshest bread with lots of crunchy toppings and yummy sauces (I've been ordering extra Red Fire sauce just to put on other food I make at home, because it's so tasty). The cheezlava is also delicious, and it's always fun to try lokum (Turkish Delight) if you've never had it before. So easy to pick-up and curbside feels very safe during these times. Check back on the menu as new items keep being added....
