Zaxbys Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Tallahassee

3/25/25 Update: I've dropped the food and atmosphere by one star each, which dropped the overall rating to 3 stars. About 9 months ago this restaurant closed for renovations, and then my routine changed so I had not been back in a while. When I returned I was disappointed. There used to be a lot of kitch on the walls and I enjoyed the uniqueness. The remodel has left it very clean but also very sterile feeling. In my opinion the "upgrade" was actually a downgrade. The food rating dropped because they got rid of the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine they used to have (that I really enjoyed). I don't think I'll be going out of my way to visit again. I'll be visiting the Zaxby's on Thomasville Road near Bannerman. 3/11/24 Update: I've dropped the service by one star because they have been making mistakes recently. A couple weeks ago my husband got the traditional Wings and Things and they forgot to put in the wings. Last night they asked us to pull into a parking spot to wait for our food (which happens occasionally) and we waited. A few minutes later two employees came out but they weren't carrying food as I expected. They said they were out of prepared traditional wings and offered to give us a double serving of boneless wings instead of making us wait while they cooked. I said that was fine. They went back inside and we waited several more minutes. Finally they brought out the food, though I feel like if they had started cooking when the order came in I would have been waiting the same amount of time. And I should have checked the order before leaving because when I got home I found they had given us double wings but they had forgotten all our dipping sauce and my Zensation salad dressing! 2023: Our regular Tuesday night...

I went to the drive thru & said I wanted bbq boneless wings and things meal w/a fruit punch then I said I wanted sweet and spicy boneless wing meal w/ a coke. The young lady kept cutting me off when she kept getting the meal I wanted incorrect through the drive thru speaker so then she tells me to pull up to the window and repeated the order I did not order, she said I order a bbq boneless wings and things meal and a sweet and spicy boneless wings and things meal and I stated no I just wanted a boneless wing meal .. she then said “that’s whatever I said” .. I paid with cash and card, she then gives me my receipt and of course it’s not what I ordered it’s two wings and things and I wanted one wings and things and one boneless wing meal. As I see the frustration on all the other employees face I can tell they are blaming me (because of the comments they were saying while the window was open btw) but if the young lady would’ve just listened and maybe understood the menu she wouldn’t have had a hard time with this order and my experience would've been a better experience. The manager gave me a refund for the order I original wanted and told me I can have the wings and things meal but again I’m pretty sure it wasn’t the correct amount for a refund. Went to this location today 5/13/2025 about 5 something pm. I didn't start to eat the salad until about 6 something pm. While eating some of the salad, I ate some of the cucumbers and had to spit it out. I called my mother and she stated the same thing. What a horrible taste. I don't know what that was. I called and spoke to Shawn the so called manager and he didn't care anything about what I was telling him about the issue, he even goes to say Well I just ate 1 and it was fine. Very rude guy, no I'm sorry about that, NOTHING. Customer service must not have been part of his training.He says well what do you want me to do, do want another salad and I said no.
