On January 3, 2025, I called and put our name on the call wait list for a party of 3. While I know this is not a reservation when we arrived, we were told that it would be a 30-minute wait (there were open tables that would accommodate us and 1 party waiting near us). While waiting, a staff member actually walked into my daughter-in-law and never acknowledged it. The hostess called a total of three names multiple times with no one showing up, finally she called a name and stated to the party of 2- - thanks for not ditching on me. At this time, it was 8:20 and my party was called, and we were seated in one of the three tables next to the bar (these tables were open the entire time we were in the staging area). We were greeted, the waitress took our order of a Blooming Onion, Alice Springs, Ribeye/shrimp med-rare, Sirloin/shrimp medium, sides were to be salad with no croutons, salad no onions. Our order was incorrect. We asked for half and half tea; we received sweetened tea with half ice. The salads were wrong, one loaded with croutons, one loaded with shallots and no croutons, the ribeye had no pink, and the sirloin was not cooked properly either… The steaks were like shoe leather. The chicken was missing bacon and mushrooms. We never did receive our blooming onion, our waitress admitted that the runner took it to another table. We did order dessert and that was the only edible thing we received. I have left numerous phone messages and emailed the manager to contact me to no avail. This was a horrible experience of what was a very important gathering. Thanks a lot for ruining our dining experience. EPIC FAIL! As per the below response, Outback wanted me to reply and give more details of the experience of our gathering on Jan 3 2025. Please note, I tried this avenue first and as stated in the review I got no response. As of this update, 1/21/25 I still have not been contacted from my numerous phone messages left for the location manager and I replied to the email address provided below with no response. I feel these responses to reviews are auto generated so that it makes "would be patrons" feel as if Outback is addressing issues and care about the guest who choose to dine with them. I personally feel that this is not true with this location or situation. 1/27/25 Another week and no response to my email on further details per the below request! 2/3/25 Another week and no response to my email on further details per the below request! 2/10/25 ANOTHER WEEK AND NO RESPONSE. 2/17 ANOTHER WEEK AND NO RESPONSE! 2/24 Location manager contacted me with an offer, waiting for resolution. 3/3 No follow-up from Mngr. 3/10 No follow up from Mngr. 3/12 Resolved delivered via FedEX, the manager of the location sent me gift cards and was extremely generous ...
Read moreThis is the third time this particular Outback has a mess my order up and against my better judgment I’ve tried to keep giving him chances because they do sell good steaks if they get it, right . upon ordering my food. I advised my waiter. Ray, that I was very particular I told him I wanted my steak, medium rare there needed to be a little bit of blood in it if there was not pink and blood, then it was not done correctly. Well, guess what they came back with the brown steak it was brown in the middle. There was no pink or no blood. And you see me I eat a fillet mignon steak what is the most expensive steak on their menu? Not to mention that I get the 8 ounce one. this is a $30 meal without a drink or tip included. Not to mention I had another guest with me. She ordered her steak medium rare, which was not fixed correctly either upon ordering this food eyelets my waiter know that I was very particularly it’s a go back there and to let the Cook know that I was very particular, and did not want to have a semi state back. I’m tired of doing this every time my time means something. after about five minutes of this food being brought to my table and realizing that this was a complete waste of my time, I started trying to find a manager well few minutes past that I found him and I was quite upset and I let him know. And I did say a couple cuss words, but I wasn’t cussing at him I was upset, the order would’ve came up to every bit of $75 ain’t no way in hell I’m paying $75 plus a tip for food that is not up to par. needless to say, I will never be back to this location and I will advise anybody else against it. Unless you wanna waste your time I have to send your steak back. At this point, I am fully convinced that they are on capable of properly cooking your food away that you request… there is absolutely no reason why the past three times I’ve been to this restaurant I have to send my steak back to the kitchen every time especially when I am very clear when ordering and let them know that I am very picky and particular about how I take my steak. it’s a waste of food and a waste of peoples time when you can just get it right the first time. Needless to say but they lost a customer…. Long horn is a better steakhouse in my opinion. The only bad part about it is it’s always a wait and that should speak volumes because there is never a...
Read moreI had previously posted this Outback with 4 stars, but was very disappointed tonight. It took 45 minutes to get a table for 2 (we were told there would be a wait of about 15 minutes.) Once seated it took almost another 10 minutes before a server approached our table. Once she arrived we ordered 2 fountain drinks and a blooming onion. The onion arrived well before the beverages (and bread)did. When the drinks finally arrived we both ordered soup as one of the sides to our steaks. After another 20ish minutes I stopped our server and asked if our soup shouldn't be ready by now. "Yes it should be, I'llcheck on it."She returned a few moments later with the soup, which apparently had been ready for a while as the melted cheese atop my French Onion Soup was no longer melted. Our steaks came out moments later and were served luke warm at best. The brussel sprouts were cold and so hard that I could barely chew them. The temperature in the restaurant was ridiculously low, and we were both quite cold. I mentioned it to the server but she declined to comment. I understand that restaurants keep the temp at an uncomfortable level to assist in table turn over but this was awful. Once we left I noticed that it was significantly warmer outside than it had been in the restaurant. A check of the outside temperature showed that it was 63 degrees. Considering the amount of money that it takes to eat out these days I think it will be a while before I go "down under" again. I need to be able expect a hot meal served in a reasonable amount of time, staged properly and in a comfortable,...
