Linda's Kitchen — Restaurant in Tallmadge

Linda and Shari provided our groom's cake, as well as our wedding cake for our September 22, 2012 wedding. My husband and I wanted to take some time to recognize these amazing ladies for a job well done. From the very first meeting we had with them to try their phenomenal cakes, we were impressed. Not only with the delicously unparalleled flavors we experienced, but with their clear excitement for what they do. They were always so pleasant to work with, and almost immediately responsive to any question or need we had over our year-long (yes, it was a long engagement!) planning period. Part of the reason we chose them to create our masterpiece of a wedding cake was that they both put us at ease, and we felt that we could honestly trust them with a task of such importance. They definitely lived up to our expectations the day of, as well. Our cake was there on time, placed and decorated perfectly, and it was absolutely delicious. Our guests felt the same way. We couldn’t have asked for anything more! They were even very understanding when we could not return the cake boards right away (we are from Dayton, and our coordinator accidentally packed them into our car!). To any brides out there considering Linda's Kitchen for their wedding needs, consider this a glowing recommendation. You will not regret working with these ladies!

Okay another place that shows fresh baked goods but when you buy them they are not fresh but they are FROZEN...... Looked good but the stuff is made whenever and then frozen so who knows anything???? When you walk into a FRESH BAKERY the products should not be made ahead and frozen...........In my eyes that is FALSE ADVERTISING, they drag you in thinking everything is freshly made but it is NOT. Your place is not worth the star either. I will not go there again. Here is your REPLY Since you think I didn't even go there, that's a lie.... I did go in and was interested till a person at your counter told us (yes a friend came in with me) that it is made fresh then frozen Sorry to me that is not fresh...... its frozen..... whenever..... then brought out when someone wants to buy it. Like I said the stuff is frozen at a bakery that makes fresh stuff????? makes no sense. I worked at a bakery for 14 years so I should know. Nothing was frozen and everything was fresh baked and I had to be there way before the sun came up to make sure it was fresh. Your bakery it not...

We happened to notice this shop as we were driving by and thought it looked cute from the outside. I’m glad we pulled in; it’s even lovelier inside.

They have a variety of bakery items, so you could find exactly what you’re in the mood for, unlike many other bakeries which specialize in limited areas. We got a scone and some apple cinnamon bread, and both were perfectly designed — both taste and texture. The bread is so moist but holds together perfectly.

The woman at the counter (Linda?) was so sweet to my child. She offered him a free cookie and was far more patient than I was while he lingered on all the fabulous choices. She mentioned that the cutout cookies were one of their most famous items and my child later told me he could tell why. “It’s perfect!”

There are a few other nice things to look at and purchase around the store, so I’m going to bring my mom for a little outing. Coffee and a bit of seating would take it over the top, but that’s surely stretching beyond the scope of a bakery.
