Wally Waffle — Restaurant in Tallmadge

We arrived 22 minutes before close time. Since it was close to closing time, We offered to order carry out only to be told no, carry out is closed. We were seated a few minutes later. Then we were told at 1:48 pm the kitchen is closed in 5 minutes. There were 3 of us. My 83 year old mother , my sister and myself. My mother was having a hard time looking at the menu. Being rushed , she was having a moment...We talked her through it. The food was great. As we were sitting there trying to eat and talk the waitress came and told us they were closed and asked if we wanted refills of coffee this was the last pot. She gave us our bills took our empty plates.... we paid a few minutes later. We finished our food and we're having a discussion that was important when another woman came to the table told us they were closed, that" there are benches outside" "you can sit and talk there" " we need you to leave" basically told us to get out. This was at 2:21. My 83 year old mother was so shook up she went to being totally confused. My sister and I had to talk her through the process of getting on her feet and getting her purse on. We walked out the door at 2:25 with my mother unsteady and moving slow. I worked in the food industry for many years. I never ever would have treated anyone like we were treated. We offered to order out 20 minutes before closing, then we're seated only to be kicked out 21 minutes after closing time. Basically told to go sit on a bench. By the way we chose to go there as we had just left a full morning of medical testing my mother had to go through at the hospital. She was hungry and that is where she wanted to go... only to be treated very very poorly. We did not even consider sitting on " a bench". We sat in our vehicles trying to talk..where we subsequently got the news that my Mother's sister had suffered a stroke. We will not...

You are greeted with a smile. The establishment is clean, especially the bathrooms. The service is always excellent and the servers are friendly and efficient. The food is served promptly and hot. You rarely have to ask for a refill on your coffee. I do wish they served a better brand or variety of hot teas though. Now the food, no matter what I order I am confident it will be good. Their omelettes are tasty and made with 4 eggs. I especially like the veggie one. The vegetables are fresh and crunchy. The waffles are light, fluffy, and tasty. Their fruit toppings are glazed, so I do not order...just my personal preference. Nothing is over seasoned and they are conservative on the salt, which is good since you can always add it to taste. Unfortunately, they cut back on the variety of breads offered with your breakfast; now serving only white, wheat, and rye. I hope they bring some back soon, especially the sourdough or at least the bagel option. Like most restaurants, prices have increased; however, they are still reasonable compared to other similar breakfast/lunch establishments. In summary, you will get a good breakfast served with a smile, in a clean environment and without breaking the bank. Pleasd check your food for hair:

Went this morning with my family to get breakfast. The food was par with normal breakfast places. Initially when the food was brought to the table my daughters eggs had a hair in them so they took that food back. Then, as we continued to eat, we found another hair in my wife's eggs. We set the eggs off to the side, but then as my daughter was eating her new eggs and notice another hair! That's three different times to get hair in our food. To find one hair is disgusting but three is absurdity. When my wife talked to the manager she looked at the food and said that it looks like doll hair. She also told us that everyone in the back was wearing hair nets. To me it seemed to be implied that we planted the hair which is astounding. The hair that we found was short black hair. No one at our table has short black hair and my daughter didn't even have a doll or a toy. No idea where that comment came from. All they could do was take 2 kids meals off the bill. Even though it was 2 kids meal and an adult meal that had the hairs. So they couldn't even comp all the meals that had hair it in. Worst customer service and care. How can you make some one pay for...
