Firehouse Grille & Pub — Restaurant in Tallmadge

3/1/2024 - Lunch time – Our experience at Firehouse Grille & Pub on the circle in Tallmadge, Ohio was absolutely horrendous. Our food was mistakenly taken to another table, and when it was eventually brought to us by Matt (manager), we were not provided any apology or explanation. As Matt stepped away from the table, we discovered a strand of hair in our ranch dressing, completely ruining our appetite and raising serious concerns about the cleanliness of the kitchen. Matt was not far away so we were able to make Matt aware of the hair to which he replaced the ranch dressing. Except what he returned to the table was a side of blue cheese, not ranch (I hate Blue Cheese).

We asked for the server to return to the table, to which she apologized for mistakenly taking the food to the table behind us, and we were informed that one of the meals had been remade. Not both meals… only one of the meals. We asked for the supervisor. The server (Brittney) returned the manager(Matt). Still no apology, instead we were met with “I heard you wanted to speak with me.” When discussing our issues the manager replied, “This chicken wrap was remade because it had no tomato.” When we sternly brought it to the manager’s attention that both should be remade, we were met with an incredibly defensive and disrespectful, “want me to pull the camera footage?” No sir, we don’t want you to pull the camera footage, we want you to take care of the mistake that was made and show some actual customer service and accountability. As if that wasn't bad enough, the manager's response to our complaint was absolutely appalling. Not only did he refuse to take accountability for the mistakes made, but he also showed a complete lack of empathy and professionalism. He then proceeded to ban us from the restaurant. I assure you, there was no scene made, there was no threatening language directed toward the manager, there was no use of inappropriate language made toward the manager. His dismissive attitude and failure to address the issue only added insult to injury, leaving us feeling disrespected and unheard.

To top it all off, as we were quietly leaving the restaurant, the manager resorted to name-calling and derogatory remarks, showcasing a complete lack of respect for customers and their concerns. This level of unprofessionalism is absolutely unacceptable and reflects poorly on the entire establishment.

For years I have gone to Firehouse during lunch with many coworkers. I work with 180 people, many of whom dine at this location. This complaint will be shared with them all. I will urge anyone considering dining at Firehouse Grille & Pub to think twice before stepping foot in this poorly managed and disrespectful establishment. Customer service and hygiene should be top priorities for any restaurant, and this place has clearly failed on both fronts. A truly disgraceful experience that I will not soon forget.

I do want to point out that we did not hold Brittney responsible for mistakenly taking our food to another table as these things happen. Instead, we left a 20% tip for her.

I would appreciate a returned message with contact information for someone who is in charge of Matt (Manager). As we quietly exited the building Matt followed us out the door and stated, “Douche Bags.”

I am confused by...

Update 2024: Recently been doing take-out for wings - and they follow directions (nothing ridiculous, just plain wings, sauce on side) - they have been timely, they have been decent sized and good. No dine-in recently - but the take out has become a regularly occurrence. Update - 8/13. Had the bacon cheddar chicken sandwich - was anemic - see pics - I'll leave the 4 stars for now - but if you are the cook - or the owner (TONY) this should have NEVER made it tableside! Those are SMALL BUNS - and the chicken breast isn't but an INCH wide!!!! 10 dollar chicken sandwich - its like a chicken finger!!! PS - DIET COKE - I'll pay more!!!

Been here many times , as the in-laws have always liked it. Never reviewed it, as I really didn't have anything bad or good to say. Visited Sunday (off week for Browns), it was somewhat quite - and they seem to have a NEW menu. Its simplified vs. the old. Tried several items... Onion Rings w/ Horsey sauce (THANK YOU - ALL onion rings should be served with horseradish sauce). They have two types of fries - coated and un-coated. Coated are steak fries (thicker, with almost a light batter) and were very good (crisp). Un-coated are shoestring or carnival - and again good. Sandwiches - I had the (hot) Italian - you cannot go wrong with this sandwich. Tried the Phillies - decent. All the sandwiches seem to come on the same loaf of bread - and its good as well - commend their bread choice. Server was great, and all in all - good value. One minor note - PEPSI is horrible. Charge more and put in...

Second time that we were there. We went because of trivia on Friday nights. Will never go back there again. First of all the pa for the trivia announcer is very hard to hear or understand. We have & do play trivia at On Tap in Stow. No sorry jd issues. Same with Beef o Brady’s & Bellancinos in Stow. To loud & cant hear at The FireHouse grill makes it uncomfortable.

Next the service is terrible. I had to write what we needed because our waiter kept forgetting parts of our order. No tartar sauce with the fish but he brought out sour cream. Asked for lemons because the lemonade was so weak. Our server was aware of that too. So I made my own lemonade. He kept disappearing. I asked for the wi-if password. Nobody knew it. My server told me that he would have the manager come help us. 15 minutes later. Nothing. I saw another server. He told her right away. She came over & knew nothing about the wi-fi until the last server told her. Later the manager came over & asked us how it was going. I told her. I told her that the server told us he was waiting on both sides of the restaurant. Meaning one in the bar area & the other somewhere else. She said my servers don’t do that. She then said she would check into it. After that our waiter was kissing our ass. Why couldn’t we get decent service before that. WE WILL NEVER GO TO FIREHOUSE GRILL on the Tallmadge circle again. Fix the acoustics of the trivia also. Hard to answer questions if you can’t hear them. Also why doesn’t this trivia from sporacle have the questions up on the screen...
