Tried to take a macaron class. Marie texted 3 hours before the class that she needed to reschedule due to getting stuck at her doctor's. She offered me a few days to but no refund. We chose a day to reschedule that she didn't previously have a class on because that's what worked for both of us. The day of the rescheduled class I heard nothing and showed up to the bakery 10 minutes before the class was to start. Either a friend or another customer came up to me and told me Marie has to reschedule again because she forgot we rescheduled the class for that day so she wasn't coming and that I should text Marie to reschedule again. I had to reach out to Marie and asked for a refund. A week later (only 5 business days), I still didn't have the refund and asked Marie about it. She said it could take 7-10 business days depending on the bank and payment method which I was fine with. Another 2.5 weeks later (so about 10 business days additional to the first 5) and still no refund. I ended up having to dispute the charge with my bank. Very poor way to run a business. The lack of consideration or notice for either class was a waste of my time and the way everything was handled was very unprofessional
Edit: Per my review, I showed up to the rescheduled class and YOU did not so I'm not even sure what you're talking about. You didn't even have the decency to tell me yourself that you weren't coming to the rescheduled class or to text me first to reschedule it a second time or offer a refund. I had to text you. I understand you don't have control over refund timing BUT seeing as the refund still hadn't gone through 20 business days after you supposedly processed it and my bank had no pending refund on my account, I'm thinking the issue was something other than the card I used and their policies. To set the record straight, when I signed up for a class, you were offering 4 classes online and I signed up for the Thursday one because that's what worked for my schedule. YOU cancelled that class. The multiple dates to reschedule were the other 3 online dates that I did not sign up for because they did not work with my schedule. I told you I have prior commitments every Tuesday and Wednesday and the Saturday class fell on my honeymoon. Did you expect me to drop everything else I have going on to take your class? I'm sorry but YOU were the reason the class was cancelled, not me, so it should be on you to make that up. The 4th date you offered worked for my schedule and that's what we planned. Again, I SHOWED UP for the rescheduled class. YOU did not. Don't lie and say everyone else showed up and I didn't because I have the receipts to prove it. Interesting how you tell half truths that make you look good and your clients look bad. Also interesting how fast you are to name call people who tried to be your customers. I'd gladly come in person and say these things but seeing as I planned on coming twice and YOU cancelled twice, I have a feeling that you wanting me to hash this out in person, rather than on the internet for other people to see, tells the people reading these reviews all they need to know, in addition to the other several 1 star reviews with the same issues and your replies which show the inability to take critism. And yes, the last time you heard from me was April 5 actually because the original class was March 11, YOU cancelled, we rescheduled that same day for March 28, YOU cancelled again and I asked for a refund because you couldn't be bothered to reach out to me. April 5 I checked in about the refund, like I said per my review. On April 25, I disputed with my bank because I still didn't have a refund. Why would I contact you about it again when even now the best answer you have for me is "we have zero control"...20 business days after I asked for the refund and you supposedly processed it? Clearly you were not going to help me and it would have only been a waste of my time as is this argument. Read moreOrdered a cake for a birthday and cookies sent photos of both the cake and cookies of what we wanted was told was easy and she could it so went with her and paid the invoice so I requested she send photos and first she did the cookies were ok but I didn’t like them but told her they were nice she made donkeys which weren’t even in the photo that I sent the pepper cookies were ok but the cactus cookies I didn’t like my daughter even said they weren’t what we ordered and to put donkeys that wasn’t even in the pic then she sent me the cake the only part that looked even close was the color. The peppers on the cake looked bad looked like she just laid pieces of fondant rolled up on there really skinny there were cracks in the fondant on the cake have photos of the cake and cookies and whole conversation I clearly asked her in the messages if the stuff on the cake was fondant she replied yes before I ordered and the numbers weren’t the sombrero on the top of the cake looked like a witches hat looked there was no taco on the cake very disappointed so I replied about all the stuff wrong with the cake she offered to return my money for the cookies and the cake and donate so I told her to please go ahead and refund now after she said she would refund she said she wasnt going to for the cookies I wouldn’t recommend this place instead of doing the right thing she gets offensive if u don’t like her work because looks nothing like what I ordered and the photo AFTER SHE SAID WAS EASY AND SHE COULD DO IT WOULDNT recommend or order from her again Poor customer service contacting the bank and better business bureau should have went with sweets by Christine llc she does a amazing job and fair priced only went with Marie cause she was booked up and said she could do it and on time crunch to get this for my husbands 50th and turned out to be horrible experience we had to run to giant eagle and order a cake just so he could have something that looks decent I am contacting the better Business Bureau and my bank and I have the message where she said she would refund for cookies and cake...
Read moreDo not recommend. Poor communication. We had a class scheduled in May. She called us an hour before and canceled due to the "parking lot being re-done". We rescheduled. We had to canceled twice after that due to serious medical issues. Asked for a refund due to her originally canceling and she refused. Today was the rescheduled class that she messed up again. She double booked and our class was no longer a "private class". On top of that she BURNT our crossiants we made. Not even an apology. Another class she didn't show up to after we drove an hour to get there. And in between all this she messed up a cookie tray order we placed. We have been driving an hour to your shop to support a small business but today was the last straw.
