We were seated in a corner booth that was so tight (and weāre not big people) that we had to angle the table for the two of us to sit mildly comfortably and it was directly underneath the music speaker, which made it hard for us and the waiter to hear one another. The restaurant was very busy and seating was limited, so we endured it but note to the owners: one should be seated at that boothā¦period.
Weāve come to this restaurant before and generally have had a good experience. Although we much prefer the Tres Potrillos in Fairlawn (we only sometimes go to Tallmadge b/c itās closer). Donāt know if the restaurants are related to one another but the food at theTallmadge location is vastly different than Fairlawn. Fairlawn is a far more superior experience and the food is always excellent there. Both serve nearly the same dishes with a slight variation but they definitely taste different from one another.
Tonight at the Tallmadge location, I ordered the Seafood enchiladas, which was to be shrimp and scallops with a spinach cream sauce. What I received was shrimp and imitation crab and a white sauce (I dislike imitation crab). This was the first time ordering this entree (only ordered it b/c itās Lent season) and thought perhaps I misread the description but when I came home, looked up the entree online and what I was received was not what I ordered. I picked out the shrimp of which there was only one in each enchilada (entree had 3 enchiladas). I got the sense that perhaps b/c they were so busy and itās lent season that they had a short supply of scallops and decided to supplement it with imitation crab. If that was the case, just tell me and I would have ordered something else.
It was a diappointing meal. Weāve decided going forward weāll gladly accept the extra trek to Fairlawn b/c weāve never been...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday was my second bad experience there. The first time I had a bad experience was two weekends ago I took two of my kids there, when we were at the hostess desk the woman told us it would be a few minutes. We then went and sat on the wooden benches and played a little bit. Around 20 minutes later more people came in ,went to the hostess Center and got sat right away. I'm guessing the woman forgot to seat us. I went and mention that we have been waiting to be that and she had a hundred and one excuses with an attitude of why we weren't sat yet. When all she really had to say was sorry. Today I took my sister out to lunch for her birthday, when the food Runner brought our food out and sat my burrito on the table I immediately saw little black hairs on top of my food. I told my waitress she really wasn't that worried about it she told me she'd have a new one made. She brings out my new burrito and it literally had three tiny pieces of chicken it was all rice and beans. I'm guessing that was my repercussion of having my food sent back because they brought it out with hair all over it. My waiter wasn't worried about that either. She told me the manager would be out about 15 minutes later I asked where the manager was. This time she came out and was very argumentative again about the situation I realize that was the woman I dealt with with the seating issue as well. I always give places more than one chance but they just blew their second chance. Good food as long as it doesn't come out with hair on it very very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food is very good, however of the three times we have ordered take out, the last two were inaccurate. Last time we ordered queso and they gave us a big cup of sour cream instead. (Unfortunately did not notice until my so got home with the order, he had glanced in the bag to check the order but did not realize that it was sour cream instead of queso, it is almost a half hour round trip so he inconveniently had to go back to the restaurant to exchange it for our queso). This time I requested no sour cream on one of the items but they still gave us sour cream, it was in a separate container but was mixed with the lettuce, tomato, and cheese that came with the burrito, therefore making most of the toppings inedible (since my so absolutely despises sour cream)! There was also some sort of strange burnt gristly little pieces of something unidentifiable in a dish that was supposed to be vegetarian. I'm hesitant to order take out from here again, I suppose one has to dine-in in order to get the correct food and prepared as requested. It's a shame because the food is good and good portions for the prices. And also, the takeout containers were a complete mess! I think it was queso or something that they smother the burritos with, it's as if they had held the containers sideways when they put them in the bag and the outside of the containers were soaked in queso and it was dripping all...
