Looking for a casual experience after my son's Jiu-Jitsu tournament. This definitely fits the bill for casual. You can either call ahead, place an order at the counter and/or sit down to order.
No one was there when my family came (4 adults/2 children). Server takes our drink order. All drinks are in a can or bottle, no fountain drinks.
Family ordered a couple of apps to start, garlic knots and calamari. Not bad! The garlic knots were amazing and I loved the extra fresh garlic in the pan.
My husband and in-laws shared an order of pizza and my boys order a slice each. The slice of pizza is quite large (New York style). I ordered the eggplant parmigiana. All the food is out, except mine. I didn't know what could possibly be the holdup, it's just eggplant and noodles.
I gave it about 10 minutes before I went to the counter asking where my eggplant parmigiana was. She said it should be coming up soon. (Mind you, she's the only one working the cash register at the counter and serving tables, but we are the only ones there).
After she left the counter, she went to the back POS machine and she sent my order through. A couple of guys came in and she served them, then came over and said, "I am so sorry, I don't know why your order didn't go through. I had to resend it through." Okay, fine.
Another couple came in and she serves them. My family is just about done eating, so my father in law asked the server where my meal was. It's literally at the point where I don't even want my meal anymore because of how long it was taking. She came over said sorry and that my food was being plated. She serves the two males their lunch and brings the apps to the couple behind me. The woman at the table said their apps was not what they ordered and had the server bring it back. Finally my father in law said he didn't like being lied to and where is (points to me) her lunch. She apologized again and went to the window asking where my food is. She brings me a toasted sandwich.
I looked up at her holding the plate and asked where my eggplant parmigiana was. She said, "Oh, I thought this is what you meant." I told her eggplant parmigiana was eggplant and spaghetti and I didn't want a sandwich, to forget that I ordered anything and I will eat a cold slice of pizza that everyone else ate.
She said she was sorry again and that she is new. Look, I get it, but you literally wrote everything down on pad and paper, screwed up not placing the order and screwed up again by assuming that I wanted a sandwich instead.
The owner, I presume, helped her remove her mistake from our order and did not charge us for that.
I can say, the sauce on the pizza was decent, too. Calamari was good and garlic knots amazing. Service, obviously could have...
Read moreI'm only giving them one star because that is the lowest amount of stars you could possibly give somebody. When I 1st moved here from New York in 2014 I fell in love with at's a pizzas garlic knots. They were delicious but the food has gone down tremendously and the customer service there is hideous. I had placed 3 delivery orders in the past and then I decided that I needed to pick up all of the orders that I placed because every time I would place a delivery order they would leave something out and by time my family got the food, everything was cold. When you call to complain they act as if it's an inconvenience to them. I received a new menu in the mail that had a few coupons so while my husband was at the store I called and placed an order for pick up. I told them about the coupon and when he arrived there he didn't stop at the house 1st so I asked if I could text them a picture and they refused and told me I would have to bring in the physical coupon. Normally I would but just because of the simple frustration of the whole matter and every time I placed an order it was wrong, I will never be ordering from them and I do not recommend that anybody does. The food is tasteless and nothing like what it used to be. The sad part is they are the ones that mail out these coupons and if they wanted to keep people's business normally an owner would say hold on to the coupon and use of for next time it's only a dollar and change that you save. Way to lose my business and anybody else that asks me about...

We tried to order on Grubhub but we wanted the Siscillian and they charged extra for toppings, even though the menu says 5 toppings included. So I just called in.
When I got there my pizza wasn't quite ready and told them about the mistake. They said they wouldn't have charged me for it, they would have called and to next time just put the toppings in the comments. I'm not exactly sure how their relationship with Grubhub works, but it seems like it would be an easy fix. Oh well.
They were friendly and busy. Several people came in and got significant carryout orders.
I just ordered the Sicillian with a side of 6 garlic knots.
The garlic knots were good. Doused in butter and garlic, they were crunchy on the outside and soft, almost doughy on the inside.
The pizza was huge and square. It was so big the box wouldn't close all the way. We ordered it with onions, green peppers, sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms. The onions were stringy on it, and the sausage was legit sausage, not some crumbled up sausage flavored meat. It had long strips of sausage on it.
There was so much pizza we ate it that night, then again the next day, then froze half of it to enjoy it at a later time.
Oh yeah, and we tried to order a caesar salad but they said the romaine recall took that salad out of commission. So we made our own salads at home.
Overall, great service, great prices, huge pizza and garlic knots for $25. I love that I live so close...
