Went here with family just after midnight, after the 4th of July.
Walked in and we’re immediately seated and got our drink order taken by our host/waiter. Run-of-the-mill routine. Afterwards it took quite a while for our drinks to come out.
We ordered a couple hot chocolate and milkshakes. Young ones like their hc’s. I hadn’t had a proper milkshake in forever and this one definitely hit the spot. If there was a Dennys closer to me I would swing buy just to get one of these. Unfortunately this ended up being the best thing of the meal.
After a longer while our food came out one by one. We had a couple of omelettes, pancakes, fruits and me personally I had the SlamWich. My burger was pretty mid. The burger itself was cooked well-done as requested but it lacked really any flavor on its own. The eggs were doing a lot of the heavy lifting for this one. My pops let me try a bit of his omelette and that had much more flavor. Overall much better than a cheap fast food burger but not something I’d go out of my way for.
Pancakes were definitely made in house. Nice and fluffy. Can’t complain here.
Fruits were a few slices of bananas and grapes. Didn’t taste like pesticide and didn’t looked browned at all so that passed.
Me and my brother could’ve sworn we asked for seasoned fries as our side because what we got were the plainest fries I’ve ever had in my life. They weren’t even salted at the bare minimum, and quite a few of them had fryer splotches in them. This is something I’d have when I’m 45 and having a mid-life crisis. Never got the chance to ask if I could replace them because our waiter never swung around during our meal to check so we begrudgingly tried to make due with what we had.
That’s the thing that reminded me why I hadn’t been to a Dennys in years. The service. Yes it’s a diner. Yes it was holiday time in particular. But I always hate it when people seem to skip formalities and only come around the table just to quietly drop the check off unprovoked. I looked at my family and was like lol I guess we’re taking a little too long for the guys liking. I won’t go as far as to say it was atrocious, but there is absolutely room for improvement. I don’t know why this a Dennys thing but it just is.
OVERALL: if I was willing to spend restaurant money for a late night meal, I’d much rather go to an IHOP...

Me and my family have been dinning at this dennys location for the past 7 years and I promise This would be my last. This never happened to me before so I was surprised, Nobody greeted me when I walked in and I had to call someone over so they can please take my order. Luckily I knew what I was ordering because they didn't even hesitate to bring me a menu so I though "hey they might be tired" "I get it" so I let that one slide. 2 min after a group of ladies walked in and they were given spectacular service compared to mine so im guessing that it might be that they didn't see value in me as a customer because I was in my sport-wear and not dressed as nice as those ladies were so he thought tip wise might not be as good. I have always tipped everywhere I eat because I used to work as a server and I know how hard it is. Long story short... when he brought my food he had no customer service skills whatsoever he just left the food there and also left the check in the table which I did not request just yet. I had dessert in mind but I was done at that point. He was lucky im one of the good guys that doesn't like restaurant drama. Someone else would have gone ballistic cause of that. I felt like If I was getting free food. He basically ended my dinner right then and there because he never came back to the table he just assumed that , that was all I was getting and I was done. What dennys doesn't know is that I was getting 3 to go orders and dessert for myself. I Should have listened to the other reviews to go to ihop instead. Learned my lesson. So sad... the service here used...
Read moreThis used to be a last ditch stop when NO WHERE ELSE was open. I dont even know where to begin. I had to walk out of the resteraunt which Ive never done at any resteraunt ever. After being greeted by a clearly sick waitress I hear a fellow patron send his food back. Said waitress goes back to the cook and says "whats wrong with you" ?
Im seated. The waitress takes my order. Everything seems dennysish. Youre not expecting much. The waitresses start arguing with the other waitress. Ok.. still denysish. The other waitress which i hadnt seen in the 10 minutes it took me to get a water goes to the table next to me...they start going on about how they didnt order nachos and were merley "inquiring about them" ..they want them for free. Another patron enters the establishment and sits at the counter. After a dispute on who should take them seeing as the one waitress just took 2 tables while the other waitress was nowhere to be found threw a fit about her having to take a table that didnt want free food.
I had to leave. I couldn't even revieve my food for fear of getting ill. I understand its dennys. Youre scraping the bottom of the barrel by just going there but dang. Id prefer to go waffle house and participate in a brawl for my meal then have to sit through this abysmal display. If your employee is sick.. please have them stay home. If you have an employee who doesn't want to work please find another employee. If you cant find employees;...
