Absolutely the most disappointing execution of fast food service in Broward County. Many are less than stellar but this establishment wins the award. The "team" prepping & running the line are clearly taking many questionable health & safety related shortcuts. If there are exactly two guests in your building why am I unpacking ice cold food after making the three minute drive to my home? Because your team members don't care. Busy? Okay, I guess we can use that as an excuse, except you weren't busy. You know what is supposed to happen to dead food right? Discard. You don't let a burger patty sit for an hour hoping you can sell then slap it on a cold bun & hope for the best. That doesn't even meet safety standards for donation but you're more than happy to sell it? Cmon!! Let's say you drop 5 orders of fries, realize you only needed 2 but nobody else is ordering. Discard. That's the only answer. You don't let it sit then serve to unsuspecting patrons 45 minutes later. Maybe, MAYBE you can get away with dropping them back in the fryer for a few and fake it but they don't even care to pretend that they care. See that i could respect. Why am I here looking at ICE COLD spicy nuggets when we never requested spicy and certainly won't eat them cold. Again, because your team members did what was easier and not what was right. I understand you're working with high volume & quantity but that doesn't give you a free pass to overlook quality altogether. This particular location in Tamarac is a guaranteed multiple health code violator & overall financial liability of a catastrophic magnitude to Wendy's. I really hope the brand takes this seriously. Sometimes in this industry what you need in the building is a clean slate. Out with the old, in with the new. First , a few weeks ago they were short staffed , yet they had three employees and were taking one order at a time in the drive through , literally . We waited in line for a hr before We went to the McDonald’s across the street , which had only two employees and the drive thru was faster than Wendy’s with 3 employees. Fast forward to today , I decided to give this Wendy’s another chance. I ordered a #8 with no bacon . The employee taking my order didn’t hear me or wasn’t listening and asked me to repeat my order . I again said a #8 with no bacon , which is the Asiago chicken sandwich . I pull up to the window paid and pulled off . I went next door to pollo tropical . Checked my Wendy’s order and they gave me a burger . I returned to Wendy’s and gave the food back to the order taker / cashier. He proceeds to give it to the sandwich maker / supervisor and told her I ordered a number 8 no bacon . She tells him no she ( referring to myself) ordered a #7 . I told her no , I ordered a #8 . I don’t see how she is a supervisor , she has no customer service skills at all . After she kept going back and forth w/ me , I just wanted my money back and did not want someone with her negative energy making my sandwich . I told her don’t Worry about it , I would like my money back . Then she said she doesn’t know how to do refunds ??? Once she finally returned my money to a card I did not use to pay for the food due to some error she said she was getting , she had the audacity to tell me , “next time read the menu “.I’m going to contact corporate but this Wendy’s employees lack professionalism and skill . Read moreThis place needs new managers. No one seems pleasant, as if walking in this place ruined their day. No one greets you, acknowledges you, no smile....not a thing. I arrived during breakfast but waited 10 min for lunch to start at 1030, but was told to wait 10 more min. There are 2 mgrs on shift yet nothing was ready. Came in specifically for chili on this wonderful cold day.....none made yet..... Placed an order to get half of it and told start eating the rest is done in 10 more minutes. Order placed at 10:44am.
Appears a staff member (Jose) arrived early to have something to eat before his shift but was constantly interrupted and asked to clock in early. I spent 5 more minutes hearing everyone in the back calling for JOSE!!!! Let the man eat in peace! Note, a member in management sat in the lobby while this was happening This management had been sitting in the lobby when we arrived at 1020am.
Not only are there 2 mgrs on staff, but obviously they are not fit to run the shift correctly to be prepared to open on time. It is now 1120.....I came in at 1020am and I'm STILL WAITING for the rest of my order....Wendys....do better. Your customers needs better management and a staff willing to work as a team. I've watched customers wait at the counter while countless mgrs and team members walk by without acknowledging them once. I know the economy is bad and tight, be thankful you have an income and treat it as such.
I must add, management has the cutest uniform! 😍 Stretch leggings and figure hugging tops make the wendys brand stand out...
