Tamarac Community Center — Local services in Tamarac

Never been an advocate for someone losing their job but the Facilities coordinator at the Tamarac Community Center needs to find another line of work. Probably aide-de-camp to, I don't know, SATAN. The facilities itself is large and has enough tables and chairs for 200+ people. Everything else according to Mr. Clair was broken. No use of the overhead projector, no Audio-Visual equipment, no food warmer even though we offered to sign a waiver, nothing worked or was available except the floor and the walls. On top of that, Mr. Clair had the audacity to threaten my sister during the event with calling the police and loss of deposit if we didn't leave by 9. (I have proof) Bear in mind we were celebrating our parents' 50th anniversary. Yeah, one of those rare events that'll never happen again and Mr. Clair decided to ruin it because of a severe case of lackofafunctionalsoul-itis. Horrible experience. Expected better given the pedigree of the area but I see now that you can't teach...

The people are friendly and I highly recommend this venue. Contrary to what another poster stated the nets are set up on time. They have a system in place where one puts a paddle in a crate and when 4 paddles are accumulated that will be the next game up on one of the 4 courts. What this means to people who do not have partners is that one will get into games easily. A very friendly place. Generally there are even levels of skills which makes it easier, but as they have 4 courts the low intermediates can play amongst themselves and the advance players can play together. The people are friendly and they make it work. Go have so fun!!! I believe they have beginners days...

BUILDING IS BEAUTIFUL LIKE THE STAFF. NEAT. CLEAN. HOLIDAY DECORATIONS ARE MAGICICAL LOOK FOR SANTA HE CLIMBS OUT OF THE CHIMNEY. LOVE IT ALL.
