Being from Tamil Nadu, I’m always on the lookout for authentic South Indian flavors, and AnnaPoorna Rasoi has truly won my heart! This family-owned business serves the best idli, vada, dosa, and more, just like how my amma makes it back home.

The idlis are soft and fluffy, the vadas are perfectly crispy yet light, and the dosas are golden and delicious—each bite takes me straight to the streets of Chennai. The sambar and chutneys are bursting with traditional flavors, making every dish even more special.

What I love most is the homely touch in their food—it’s clear that everything is made with love and care, just like in a Tamil household. The warmth and hospitality of the owners make the experience even better.

If you’re craving authentic Tamil Nadu-style food, AnnaPoorna Rasoi is the place to go. As someone who misses home, I can’t recommend it enough! Nandri for bringing a piece of my hometown to me! ❤️

Disappointing Experience at Annapoorna Food Truck

I’ve been a regular customer of Annapoorna and have always appreciated the quality of the food and service. However, today’s experience at the food truck was deeply disappointing and out of character for what I’ve come to expect from this establishment.

The issue was not with the food, but with the conduct of a new couple who appeared to be working together at the truck, specifically the individual handling the cashier duties. Their behavior was unprofessional, dismissive, and frankly, disrespectful. Basic courtesy seemed to be lacking no greeting, no acknowledgment, and a condescending tone throughout the interaction. It felt as though they were doing us a favor by simply taking the order.

Customer service is a critical part of any dining experience, especially in a community oriented setup like a food truck. Today’s interaction left a very negative impression, and I sincerely hope management addresses this before it becomes a pattern.

I share this feedback not out of malice, but in the hope that Annapoorna continues to uphold the high standards...

We went today and were ready to order, then the owner mentioned that it will take some time, so please avoid putting a bad review for us. I told him, I understand and I’m ready to wait. And also mentioned to him, that we never put a review for them. Then he accused me that we have put a review and mentioned I’m “Shankar” I told him neither I’m Shankar and nor my brother in law is Shankar. But he kept on persisting, we are the one who put bad review. Finally he agreed that we aren’t Shankar and he was like, my bad. There was no real apology.

So finally here is my review for you, the owner is arrogant, food service is late and you have to wait 15 mins to just post an order ( even though I’m 2nd in line)

During the entire experience today, I felt I went to a place where owner thinks, he is giving away free food and doing a good deed.
