I've been looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant since I moved here from Milwaukee WI. When I was searching for something new and more authentic, I came across Chiles. There menu looked on point as well as the pictures of there food. I walked in and sat at the bar to make my order to go. I was greated by a lady waitress and a man that looked like he was a manager. They were very nice and gave me salsa and chips while I waited. I ordered a simple meal this first time around to try it out. I order a Burrito Suzio like i like it back home. They had no problem making it the way I wanted it. When i got home and ate it, this Burrito was fire. So, so good and on point. Even the beans and rice were delicious. This place has a new customer that will be coming back often.

Authentic Mexican food with very generous portions! The decor is not wonderful, bright yellow walls, older tables and chairs HOWEVER, do not let that deter you. The food was AMAZING. I ordered the chicken flautas and I was very happy. The chips were fresh & not too salty(like at some chain places), the salsa had a little kick but I think people with light palettes could handle it as well, the toppings on my flautas were all very fresh & in the right portions. The waitress was very attentive, as we were her only table. *The neighborhood isn't the best, it's about two blocks from Raymond James Stadium, but if you're in the area and want really really good, affordable Mexican food stop on by!

We were looking for the Mexican restaurant for Saturday night dinner and decided to have dinner at Chiles Mexican Restaurant. It is a typical Mexican restaurant with all the mexican settings. We loved the ambience of the restaurant. We sat at the table and we were greeted by our server with Chips and salsa along with water and menu. After having discussions we decided to order dinner which included Taco Americano, Ensalada de Pollo, Jalapeño Poppers and Burrito Simple Vegetarian. We had to wait for 20-25 minutes before we got our food. The food was delicious and amazing. Loved the food and tasty. Food was cooked properly and it was hot. Loved the time and food at the restaurant.

AWFUL SERVICE! My fiancé and I order food from here all the time. Not going anymore! This was the first time I personally go in to pick up an order and it was awful.

I went to pick up a to go order of 4 tacos yesterday on a Sunday around 4:45pm. When I arrived I said hi to the person behind the bar, a Spanish speaking woman who asked me for the name, I told her my name for the order and that it was four tacos. She went to the back and while I was standing at the bar there were a few men drinking beer and one of them said hi to me and tried to give me a fist bump, so I just ignored him and felt super uncomfortable. I was also in a hurry because my newborn was in the car with my mom and I didn’t want her to get fussy.

So while I waited I asked the same server if it was going to take long because I had called about 15 minutes earlier to place the order and they stated it would be ready in 10. She checked and said it will be right out, so I asked if I can go ahead and pay. She took my card and went to the back with it and then came back out and started doing stuff behind the bar without addressing me. All the while I’m standing there next to the drunk man feeling very uncomfortable.

I asked her if she had my card since I also didn’t like that she just went to the back with it, and she very rudely told me she is not my server and that my server will be out with it soon. I was so confused and told her I didn’t have a server, this was a to go order.. and that she was being very rude. This whole interaction with her was in Spanish by the way.

She argued with me saying she’s not being rude she’s just telling me that my server was in the back, which made no sense because she is the only person working there who I had interacted with since I walked in.

She walked away and shortly after another older woman came out with the food and my card and looked at me apologetically as I lodged my complaint with her about the other employees behavior.

She asked me what happened in English and I told her in Spanish that the other lady was being rude to me and said she wasn’t my server. She just seemed apologetic but didn’t say much.

I am so upset at this situation because we used to enjoy eating here. I would have asked for a manager but again, I had my mom and newborn in the car and it had already taken long enough.

Later my fiancé mentioned that the tacos weren’t that good, specifically the pork one was bad. Very disappointed I had to experience an employee being so rude for no reason. She did not have a name tag but I’m hoping the description and time she was working will let management know...

I’m going to give you the rundown we went to the restaurant for adults and one child a bucket of 5 beer cost $21 for five beers one Michelada beer was 7 dollars we each ordered a plate which the food wasn’t really Mexican. It was more like Cuban the flavors just wasn’t there. Coming back from Mexico you would know the difference. also, with this review that they have, why would that place be empty over priced? and at the end of the meal they tip themselves whatever they want. Four people one child $166.66. I’ve been to high end restaurants and never been charged this amount. I don’t recommend this place at all not because of the prices because of the food. You don’t say you’re a Mexican restaurant when you know you’re not .chicken salsa Verde was horrible so if you have a big family do not come to this place. usually, I love to give good reviews when the food is amazing but I can’t even say that the food was amazing so don’t bother looking at the reviews because it doesn’t work not for this place. Either of the people that have been there have eight very bad food and consider this good food. I am a traveler, and I love Great food, and this one did not cut it. when my daughter told me, she wanted to try this place because they had good reviews. When I looked it up, they only had three reviews. I knew this was not going to be a good experience for some reason. I will never go back to his place food for thought. If you see a restaurant this empty only 2 to 3 tables run. Also, when you own a restaurant and you’re cooking your food in the back, you could smell the rumors there was no aroma coming out of the kitchen. does that make sense? Actually, I woke up with nausea today. That’s not a good sign. PS Michelada beer comes with special prepare honey to put on the edge of the glass. Not...

IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES DON'T COME TO THIS PLACE, the cooks don't care. I ordered some flautas and I am SEVERELY ALLERGIC to tomatoes, the waitress who answered the phone never asked me if I wanted all the vegetables that they put on the food, she never asked so I assumed they weren’t going to put anything on it. The waitresses are always good people, but there's one that doesn't even ask you or tells you what they're going to put on the food, and the orders are almost always wrong, and the cooks didn't want to make the flautas without the tomatoes because they said it wasn’t their problem. They should be held even more accountable they simply didn’t care. I had to pay for a NEW order, and even the nice waitress who always serves us- told her that she has to ask on the phone. It’s not that i didn’t want to pay for other tacos, it is simply the honesty, responsibility, and morality of saying and accepting that she was wrong; a simple "yes, I messed up" would have been enough for me and pay for a new order, and the discussion could’ve been avoided, but she kept blaming me for not looking at their online menu, which NEVER WORKS. As a person who has worked in food I would not do what they did it’s a HEALTH HAZARD. Thank you to the kind waitress who told her what...
