If you’re looking for the best sandwich shop in Tampa, look no further than Cousin Vinny’s Sandwich Shop — an authentic New York-style deli experience right here in Florida. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re greeted with a warm welcome, and the service is second to none. What sets Cousin Vinny’s apart is the personal touch — the owner himself often checks in table-side to ensure your meal exceeds expectations. That kind of old-school hospitality is rare and unforgettable.
Now let’s talk sandwiches. The cutlet sandwich is hands down a masterpiece — perfectly fried chicken cutlet layered with fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze on crusty Italian bread that’s soft on the inside and toasted just right. It’s everything you want in a hearty, satisfying bite.
Craving heat? The spicy meatball sandwich packs a flavorful punch with tender meatballs simmered in a rich, spicy marinara and topped with melted provolone. It’s bold, saucy, and absolutely crave-worthy.
No visit is complete without grabbing a classic black & white cookie — soft, cakey, and nostalgic in all the right ways.
Whether it’s lunch or a weekend indulgence, Cousin Vinny’s in Tampa delivers authentic flavor, exceptional service, and true New...
Read moreOk, I've been twice and feel like I can make a judgement call here. The good: Service is outstanding, and both times I went I felt like my sandwich came out in a reasonable amount of time even though they were busy. Chicken cutlets were on point. Meats in the Uncle Jun also on point. Cheese, sauces/spreads, etc. are all fire. Probably the only thing disappointing was the bread. Not that it was bad, but the hero roll was a little softer than you would hope for a place proclaiming to be the best NY style sandwich in Tampa. The Focaccia was even worse, very soft and just way to doughy. Adding some moisture during the baking process would give both breads a much better crust and raise the score here significantly. I hate to say this, but even a Publix baguette tastes better than the bread here, and it's a shame when everything else is so good. The price point is high, especially for drinks/chips etc. I would have no problem paying it if the bread was better. But when you're over $26 for a sandwich, bottle of water, and small bag of chips, things really...
Read moreI’ve had 3 of their sandwiches now. The Tony my favorite of the 3. The Don but with Eggplant instead of chicken. Wanted to love this one cause so hard to find them around town. The eggplant has potential to be a way better sub, just barely any eggplant was cut thin which good IMO and way too little sauce to bread and veggie ratio. Was pretty dry and couldn’t taste the eggplant all that much. The last of the 3 was their Prosciutto Di Pado, this one is on the house bread they make. Didn’t care for that bread as much as the hogie bread which was very tasty. The innards of the prosciutto were good just didn’t hold up to the delivery system it was on. Looked light in color so maybe it was under baked. I’d probably order it again but ask for it on the hogie. Will definitely revisit and look forward to how it evolves. Would recommend ordering online as to walking in at lunch time. No phone number to call in orders. Takes a min to get food out if waiting...
