Lucky Spartan — Restaurant in Tampa

Stoped by here to grab something to eat last night and were not greeted at the door so we sat out selves assuming it was that kind of sports bar. We were then approached by the rudest security guard I’ve ever met who yelled at us and rudely told us he needed to see our ids after we politely told him we were just trying to order food and had no intentions of drinking. No where online or outside the establishment is it posted that the this place is 21 plus nor was the security guard waiting at the door to check ids. I have no idea why we would have assumed that the establishment was 21 plus. I have never been talked to by another person the way the security guard talked to me I’m discussed by the lack of human decency. I will not be returning, which is very sad because the establish ment had a cool vibe. So if you’re just looking to order some wings and watch some baseball THIS PLACE IS...

I've been about 5 times now, and had issues with my ID once, but it was resolved quickly. Overall big fan of this place with the billiards and decent beers. Tonight there was a new bouncer that literally was checking my ID against a pamphlet of all 50 states, so obviously didn't know much, then they not only refused me service... which like whatever I can leave... but HELD MY ID!! Said we were "being dicks" after waiting for 20 minutes and had to call the cops for them to hand it back. I understand SoHo has been getting raided recently so you're on high alert, but to a returning customer & someone that's 22 trying to go into a dead bar (on... a Friday) it's just ridiculous. I had an amazing time at the Lucky Spartan! This new sports bar is a total game-changer. The food is absolutely delicious, thanks to the food truck outside—such a unique concept, and it really adds something special to the experience.
