For the most part, I enjoyed my time here. However, if you're looking for serenity, I recommend another location simply because there's a busy highway directly behind the beach. If you have headphones, you're fine! I just like to connect with nature and enjoy the sounds of the water, and I find it hard to do so with vehicles zooming by.

I personally would NOT step in this water, nor would I at Ben T Davis. Take the extra time drive and go to a NICER, CLEANER beach! Swimming in Hillsborough County waters is like playing Russian Roulette, only it's with FUNK, Fungus and Bacteria. Gained by seeing, smelling and reading information myself. (live in area for 40+ years). I never say there is a beach in Hillsborough county, cuz in my mind...
