This review is based solely on customer service and the manager that works at WTR. So were staying at this property and the front desk recommended this pool party as we’re celebrating a birthday. We go today in the morning to get information and reserve a cabana, we meet with a fast talker super nice sold us quick and efficient and we advised we would be coming back as it was 11 am. We advised that someone in our party has a picture of passport but also has a legal immigration document stating he’s legal to be here and it’s been used to Fly in the United States and for ID purposes as it was issued by immigration, he stated if it’s a legal document there shouldn’t be an issue. So we paid came back with our party and as we’re walking in the security states to my colleague that he has high top shoes and that’s not part of the dress code as well as he was wearing a hat that had a basket ball team logo and stated jerseys weren’t allowed. My colleague went back to the room and changed as he comes back , they then state they can’t take the legal document issued by immigration as there a private establishment and don’t accept it. Now we ask to speak to the manager and he comes out with no emotion or regard with the miss communication from The fellow employees. My friend gives his hand out as a sign of respect and starts the conversation and you could tell he didn’t want to even shake his hand nor have a conversation with our group. Very rude but most importantly non empathetic at all and concerning that a business is being ran without knowledge what a proper legal document in the US is and alarming how he treated our group. None the less we would never go to this establishment and if it’s not already affecting the numbers for this establishment, I wouldn’t believe this was the first time the manager treated someone like this. Right now your still in business but running establishment like this will eventually run down what’s most important which is the customer....
Read moreWalked up to the gate w/a group of about 15 people for a birthday. The kids at the gate said it was a $10 cover charge to enter; as we form the line (this line was nonexistent before we showed up btw) the people at the gate tell us the cover just went up to $20. Appalled by this, our group decided to turn around to leave & as we walk away the kids at the gate decide that they would charge the originally stated amount of $10 per person. At this point, I don't even care to patron this place. But it's my friends bday, so we enter nonetheless. Upon entering the music is blasting so loudly that we can't even speak to each other, which was odd because there was literally like 6 people in the entire place prior to our entering (Mostly staff) the overly loud music continuously would drop off, leaving complete silence before suddenly blasting back on with an entirely different song. At the bar they offer Zero beers on tap; although there are taps behind the bar. The bartender rattled off the bottled & canned beer selection that consisted of 5 options & said that no bars are allowed to serve from the tap due to covid; as he picks up a lime wedge with his bare hands to serve on top of an overpriced canned corona. The hospitality & customer service at this place is nonexistent. Our entire group still can't fathom what exactly this place is charging $20 for entry. There was literally absolutely nothing to warrant a cover charge. Rude kids working the entry door, no live music or entertainment, DJ unable to keep a continuous flow of music, minimal drink options, no gloves or masks work by the bar staff who are literally touching everything; but drafts beers aren't allowed due to covid. What a shame. This place needs a full evaluation regarding their management because there really doesn't...
Read moreDJ and pool was good…The Outside Server, a Blonde Young Girl refused to acknowledge my family and I. We wanted to order food and drinks yet we had to go to the bar our selves, when she was taking orders of the other families in the area. I do not want to think race was an issue but we noticed a pattern of who got served and attended to and who had to leave the pool area just to order at the bar. I mean blatantly walking by us multiple times and ignoring our call for service. “Excuse me, can we order some food and drinks?” was greeted with nothing. No “I’ll be right with you,” No, “give me a second”…Nothing. The Guy bartender was decent although he ignored my wife and her friend to attend 3 other blonde women, at 3 different areas of the bar, that arrived after them. The Hostess as you enter from the Godfrey to WTR never acknowledged us but was sure to go out her way to greet the Older White couples that were entering after us. I am not imagining any of this. My 12 yr old noticed and asked why do they say hi and welcome to other people and not us? Friends of ours that live in Clearwater noticed the same and refused to stay at WTR after being neglected, so we stood at the Godfrey pool instead. That staff will probably prevent it from growing into something more. Beautiful scenery and a DJ, so much potential but the staff are only “Certain” customer friendly. Hope things change it’s a really nice spot but such a turn-off because...
