Garibaldi's Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Tampa

If I could give less than one star, I would.

I went with a friend of mine for dinner. I asked for an iced tea, which they don't have, so I was offered lemonade. That was fine. I ordered steak nachos.

My friend clearly and specifically ordered the taco salad with grilled chicken. He said he didn't want the avocado that was listed in the description. Our server said "No avocado?", and he confirmed NO avocado.

When our food arrived, his taco salad was on a plate. No tortilla shell. Most importantly, it was LOADED with what looked to be two full avocados. There were also huge chunks of green pepper, which were not listed in the taco salad description, and which he wouldn't have wanted if it did. It was missing several other items listed in the taco salad description, like beans and corn.

He asked the server if that was the taco salad, since it didn't have the tortilla shell or anything, and he said he asked for NO avocado. She seemed confused and couldn't really answer his question. He started picking off all the avocado, and there really wasn't much left on the plate when he was done. She was standing there just looking at him. He asked if he could at least have a bowl of lettuce to try and make it into more of a salad, since there were only a few pieces of lettuce on the plate.

She came back with an empty bowl. I pointed to the lettuce on his plate and said he asked for MORE lettuce. She came back with a half-full bowl of lettuce.

Meanwhile, I pulled up the menu on my phone, and it was apparent that she brought him the Avocado Salad, which is a completely different item, and not at ALL what he ordered.

When the server came back with the bill, my friend said he didn't want to pay for his meal because he could barely eat any of it, since it wasn't what he ordered. She said she could discount it. Then she said she'd take his drink off (which was only about $2). We were annoyed, but we just wanted to leave at that point, so he agreed.

She was at the cash register with the manager for a VERY long time. When she finally came back, she said they weren't going to take ANYTHING off the bill because they brought him extra lettuce. Are you kidding me???

We were BOTH pissed at this point and just paid and left. It was probably only the second time in my life that I didn't leave a tip.

Definitely one of the all-time worst restaurant experiences I...

I’ve eaten there many times, starting in 2019, but never think to write a review. So, finally, here ya go…

At and after regular dinnertime some nights, usually the weekend, the music can get rather loud for my taste. Too loud to easily talk over. And, every once in a while, it’s waaay too loud. So, I usually go a little early, like 6 or 6:30pm.

Aside from that, the service is always great and very friendly. The food is always quick, hot, and delicious. There’s plenty of it, too, especially for the price. Get chips and salsa when you sit down and a whole plate of food for $12 or $13. Two for $7 margaritas! And, they’ve completely redone the interior this year (it needed it).

I also have to say, they have the best chile relleno...

Stopped in for a quick lunch. I sat at the bar & ordered carne asada tacos they were ok. The bartender & server were very nice and welcoming and both provided service w/ a smile. The guy that appeared to be the owner wasn’t as friendly & never acknowledged me sitting at the bar alone. It was full when I arrived but I stayed a while so there was only a few people left in the place including a tipsy guy singing out loud to the top of his lungs which assisted in me closing out my tab & leaving. 😑 If I go back I’d like to try their nachos or quesadillas next time.
