Trust me, their Web site pizza pic’s are very deceiving. Ordered the Bronx and was anticipating the best but what we got was a Soggy crust, with way too much sauce (although tasty, I’ll give them that),and very few and sparse toppings.Actually I opted to have xtra cheese instead of the meatballs but honestly, I really couldn’t make out what toppings were what on it. Not sure where the ham, sausage, & pepperoni were or which one was what, And even though I said no meatballs, it looked like there were meatballs but then again, like I said,, I couldn’t tell what toppings were what, and $23 was waay to much for that hot mess. Honestly, frozen pizza would have been a Better choice. If you must eat pizza in this area, stick to Marco’s or even Domino’s or Pizza Hut where you would actually get PIZZA that has lots of ingredients, NON soggy crust, and value for your money. But of course, this is my opinion, & obviously everyone has different tastebuds and actually may enjoy this hot mess…..

From a New Yorker’s perspective: the entire meal was a train wreck. Felt like I got sentenced to the DASH diet—everything was sodium-free, flavor-free, and joy-free. Even the salt shakers tapped out (moisture locked them up tighter than Rikers). Pizza: all flop, no flavor. Dave Portnoy wouldn’t even finish the bite—this thing wouldn’t crack a 2.1. Honestly, a 7-Eleven or Wawa slice would’ve been a step up. My kiddos didn’t even choke down a slice. Penne vodka: watery, broken sauce—like somebody spilled blush pink dishwater on pasta. Grinder: no substance. Mid roll, meat portion so skimpy it should’ve been a side salad. Would have done better at Subway The service? Genuinely great—shoutout to the staff. The ambiance? Strange. No music, no background noise, felt like I was eating in a church basement or funeral home. I kept my voice down like I was about to get scolded. Overall: If you’re hunting for actual flavor, this ain’t the spot. Won’t be giving this place a second shot.

My husband and I were staying at the state park close by with our dog. We came here for dinner because dogs are welcome on their outside area. When we got there, the outside area had a large party in it, but the waiters came to our rescue! The waiter Nick and one of his coworkers went out of their way to set us up a table outside by pulling their cars around and blocking off the drive so we could still dine in! That was before the food even came out! We ended up getting a Hawaiian pizza, and it was delicious! The crust was to die for and the pizza was exactly what New York style pizza should be, nice and thin to where it is almost a fork and knife kinda slice! Nick was also so nice and took time to talk to us about the name and the history of the place. We will definitely be back when we are in the area!

I just visited Johnny C’s yesterday with my parents for the first time. My parents has been there prior I believe 3 times and had been raving about the food. The place is extremely clean and has a calming ambiance. We were greeted as soon as we walked in by a smiling face (I think it was the owner’s son). Our waitress approached us within seconds of being sat with menus and took our drink order. My parents and I shared everything we ordered, which was an appetizer (homemade mozzarella sticks), a lasagna and a Brooklyn pizza pie. The mozzarella sticks were to die for! Very fresh and seasoned nicely. The lasagna reminded me of grandma used to make it and the Brooklyn pie was unlike any pizza I’d ever had before! The crust was seasoned perfectly and had the right amount of crisp to it. I am returning there this week with my uncle for dinner THATS how amazing this food was! If you’re looking for authentic tasting Italian food - THIS is your place! The owner himself stopped at our table and sat and told us the story of how the place came to be. This had to be one of the best most personable owners of a restaurant we had ever met. They have many plans for all different types of food and catering and I truly believe that even within less than a year’s time of being open, that this place will sore in greatness before the end of...

Rarely give low reviews.. but this one gets points taken away for the sandwich. I know I know, its an Italian place, however I am first and foremost an sandwich kinda guy, and if you are gonna have a 'special' named Italian Style cold cut sub on your menu, I am gonna try it (that or a chicken parm is the second thing to try at a pizza joint, i mean its like getting the General Tsao and Orange chicken..) This sandy was just sad. Store bought thick bread, pre-packaged Sysco meat combination (even Subway changed their meats) which is not all that bad if you actually like Panera, but this was $13 and i didnt even get a pickle..

now EVERYTHING else was PHENOMINAL. Pizza was as it was advertised as being a NY style. And true NY style. Thin yet sturdy crispy crust that could be folded, enough cheese-to-sauce ratio to where it was gooey, but not sliding off. Real piece of art.

Service was perfect, friendly and fast. I feel bad only giving it 4 stars here, I really do, but I cant lie folks.

Leave the sandy, take the...
