Addictive sandwiches! Friendly service. The Best ingredients available. Pubsubs got beat by Wawa subs, and now Mickey’s is getting my business. I have Never had a sandwich this good.
My kids got a turkey and cheese. How good could it be, I was thinking. Crazy ridiculously delicious! Light toasting brought out all the flavor without making it too crumbly for the kids, which shows how much thought he’s putting into every sandwich.
I don’t even really like Italian subs. There’s often so much going on and no standout flavors so it just ends up tasting the same in every bite. Not Mickey’s. The Boar’s Head ingredients are so good on their own, and then brought together by Mickey, that’s The Sandwich I’m gonna want when I’m in the mood for a sandwich. The sauce was the perfect touch, creamy and peppery and amazing.
Mickey has a singular focus on bringing the best sandwiches possible to Tampa. I can’t wait to go back...that Italian is...
Read moreMickey's was clean with enough seating for several parties. It was bright and cheery inside with Ms. Pacman to play while you wait. The soda fountain was very clean and clearly maintained ( one of the first things I look at in a restaurant of this type), and they had tea as an option for drinks. I got a six inch Italian, and it was a good sub. Just the way he made it with the sauce... Really tasty. Boars Head meats were abundant and the bread was very clearly fresh. I would absolutely return and encourage others to check them out. Mickey was truly a nice guy, working his biz successfully.
The only downfall was not his fault, but as I waited for a friend before going in, a homeless man dropped his drawers right in front my car and "adjusted" himself. It was a little jarring before I ate my lunch but I have a lot of heart for people experiencing homelessness so it didn't sway me to leave or anything like that. For others,...
Read moreI went to Mickey’s subs for the first time yesterday, Mickey was working at the time and immediately stopped what he was doing to help me with my order. He explained in detail the sandwiches I asked questions about and helped me pick out a sandwich. I ordered the 14 inch Italian with plans of bringing the second half to work for lunch today but after getting home and eating the first half i shortly realized the sandwich was too good to not eat the whole thing. I stopped by again to Mickey’s on the way home from work today and bought a 7 inch London broil because the only thing I could think about at lunch was how much I wished I had that other half from the night before and I again received the same wonderful service that I did from the day before as well as an equally delicious sandwich. Mickeys subs is a great spot in a rising area of Tampa, so if you’re in the mood for a great sandwich with quality ingredients stop by and...
