Decided to give this place a shot tonight for the first time. Visited their website directly and created an account. Placed our order at 7pm with an expected delivery of 8:07pm. A few minutes after placing our order we received a email confirmation that the order was being prepared. We were excited about their hummus and combo platters really anticipating having a wonderful dinner. At 7:30 received a text that our driver had picked up our food and was on his way. 8pm came and went and we noticed our drive was making a few stops along the way which was delaying our food by about 15 more min. No problem we can wait right the food’s going to be great. 8:30pm comes and no food so we decide to contact he restaurant in which a young lady working the front answers and says yes I have your order right here no one has picked it up. Confused by this since I informed her that I have confirmation my food was picked up an hour ago. I ask if we could thank have another driver pick it up to deliver and she says well you ordered on our website and I have no visibility to a driver on our tablet. Shocked since I ordered directly on their website not a third party website I ask to speaks to a manger or owner. She informs me that there is no manager or owner there and that she can’t help me. I ask for a full refund since she can’t provide me a driver to deliver my food an hour and a half later and she says she can’t do that but I could come pick it up myself. Say what? No lent gets better she says she can give me the manager number to call directly. I try calling him and the number is blocked. I call her back so kindly and inform her that the number she gave me was blocked all I need is for someone to deliver my food or provide me a refund. She says sorry sir I can’t do that. I said well you need to speak with whoever your boss is tonight and have that taken care of. She kindly puts me on hold and calls her manager which informs her to tell me to go to their website and contact customer service that they can’t help me since I placed the order directly on their website. After hanging up the phone and never giving this place a try due to their lack of customer service and competence I recieved a text message form my delivery driver that he canceled my order at 8:42pm 1 hours and 40 minutes after ordering. Beware of ordering from this place! Worst customer service in town. Probably the worst food as well but I couldn’t tell you since I...
Read moreEdit: adding a star back in because we’ve noted a considerable improvement the last couple of times we’ve gone! Keep it up!
I’ve been coming to Naz since it opened and have returned frequently because my family and I love(d) it. We also love that it is open late-making it an easy to access halal option! Unfortunately, I have seen a steady decline in the atmosphere, service, and food quality. This is such a good option for Tampa and I’d hate to see it go downhill.
Here’s some constructive feedback for the management:
-It seems the kofta and hot wings have changed in taste. I don’t know if you have a different supplier, but whoever you had initially tasted way better! The fries are often overcooked and not golden brown like they should be. The other day, I was in a rush and picked up a chopped cheese sandwich for lunch which was absolutely horrible, but I did not have time to come back. The cheese was not melted; in fact it was cold, and the beef had that frozen beef taste. I literally could not finish it. I don’t know if there has been a change in kitchen staff, but I would suggest some quality control measures. Rice platters are on point so we mainly get those at this time.
-The restaurant cleanliness is really, really starting to decline. The last few times we’ve walked in, we’ve noticed dirty tables, dirty floors, and an odor that seems to be coming from the kitchen area…like meat that has gone bad or something. It’s hard to describe but it’s not a pleasant odor. Please also keep an eye on the restroom cleanliness.
-The staff friendliness depends on who you get at the register…some acknowledge you and others make it feel like you’re bothering them by being there. I’d suggest consistent expectations for all and customer service training.
Please take this feedback constructively, as it is meant to help and not criticize. We look forward to frequenting the Naz Halal we originally fell in...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer of yours since the day you first opened, and I’ve always appreciated the convenience of being able to order through Uber Eats when I’m not able to dine in. However, tonight’s experience was disappointing, and I feel it’s important to provide feedback for the sake of improvement.
I ordered fish and chips, along with two gyros—one with chicken and one with fried fish and white sauce. Shortly after placing the order, I contacted the restaurant to provide some feedback, as the quality of the food had been lacking the last time I ordered. I recommended frying the fish and fries a bit harder to prevent moisture buildup during delivery. The cashier assured me that the food would not be placed in a bag but instead would sit under a warmer. Unfortunately, when I received my order, the fish was almost inedible—chewy and tough, almost like steak. The fish gyro, which was supposed to come with white sauce, was delivered without it, and the fish in that gyro was of similarly poor quality.
What upset me even more was that when I called the restaurant to share my concerns, it felt like my feedback was completely ignored. I never called for a conversation or to discuss compensation—I simply wanted to express my dissatisfaction in a respectful way, but the only response I received was that no compensation could be offered. This left me feeling completely unheard.
I’m not looking to bash your restaurant online, but I do believe this issue should be addressed, and I would appreciate it if management could get in touch with me directly. I have videos documenting the quality of the food, which I can provide if needed.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I’m hoping for a resolution and to continue enjoying your food...
