Went inside searching for a kinky straight/coarse hair texture. I approached one lady behind one of the counters and she wasn't sure what kinky straight was which is fine- I'm sure there are some hair types everyone isn't familiar with. She asked someone for assistance through her headset and then told me she'd come back to me. I continued to browse in the same aisle until she came back to the counter but instead of continuing in her efforts to assist me she resumed whatever she was doing prior to my ask. I remained in the store for maybe another 15 minutes trying to find the hair on my own but it's a bit difficult without assistance because most of the human hair hangs on the walls behind the counters. Once I found a hair type similar to what I was looking for I tried going to the front service counter where checkout occurs to ask if there were any other brands I could compare the hair to (to make the best informed decision for my personal needs). This lady simply replied "no". When I repeated her and asked "no?" she then elaborated and said the store didn't carry any other human hair brands with a similar texture. I highly doubt this due to the expansive inventory within the store. I then asked if I could have someone help me at the hair counters so i could view the different hair available. The front counter lady did call for someone to assist me but and told me that person would meet me at the hair counters. I waited for 5-8 minutes and no one came to assist. I placed the hair I was carrying back where I found it and left the store. Overall the store has so much product and is nice to browse even if you aren't searching for anything in particular but the customer service is lacking. No one approached to offer assistance and the store failed to follow up with my requests for assistance on two separate occasions within the same store visit. Disappointing and a bit frustrating. Read moreI've given this place chance after chance and they fail every single time. I went today for chocolate hair, the price display said $23.99 but when I got up to the register it rung up higher. I brought this to the girls attention and she moved me to the side to check someone else out while another store member went and confirmed the price. The girl comes back and says the hair was actually supposed to had been $18.99 a pack. The cashier said she didn't believe it and made the girl run back again to check the price. The girl then goes back, pull a different price display and now says it's supposed to have been $24.99 a pack but "a customer switched the sign" 😕 I got frustrated and just paid and left. I got to the salon and it turned out, it was 2 different types of hair (Oprah curls, and loose deep) smh which means the "know it all" cashier rung them all up under "Oprah curls" and charged me $24.99 a pack after she had just debated that the loose deep and glam rolls were only $18.99 a pack. The last time I went there and bought Marley braid hair, they were all labeled the same, but we're all different looking types of reds and even looked like some what "dog hair" the African hair salon I went to refused to use it. Read moreI tired this business at least 3 times before I came to write this review. I drive 30 minutes to get here. Store selection is the main reason. I have two major complaints. I feel like a big criminal when I come here. I work in Law Enforcement so i understand the need for security in the neighborhood this store serves. You can do that without stepping on the rights of those who are law abiding though. If you sneeze to hard a worker with be there with a tissue. They watch from the back of the store, Floor walkers, More Cameras than a Casino lol. Every single item no matter how small is layered with glue and tape and a magnetic security strip is added. Again I understand the need but now my item that I paid my hard money for is ruin with your glue idiots. You have security so tight it makes it hard to breath. Ok you deter criminals but you deter law abiding community members as well. Why come give you my money to receive treatment like that. You might as well cage customers and ask them what they want and go...
