Thought 3.4 stars wasn’t that bad but it really was. As soon as we walked in, there was yelling from the workers and owner, and they were quite harsh when we were being seated too. The atmosphere was off but I wasn’t expecting much because of the location. The place was absolutely empty and the seating was a bit odd, high tables and low booths. Not much food variety, and most of it was cold too. Thought I had taken an egg roll but it was just a piece of chicken. The food being cold made me not want to eat it either. Crab Rangoon was stale, but not as bad as everything else. RED JELLO ABSOLUTELY CARRIED!! It’ll never be bad, anywhere. WORST PART WAS: when the waitress stood there and waited for us to put our card down, and then waited again when we signed the receipt. We didn’t leave a tip since the place was so awful, and when she looked at the receipt she literally told us “you didn’t fill out the tip” and waited till we tipped her. Horrible experience and food.

This is my Go-To buffet! I've made it a family tradition to visit every Saturday night. We have been doing so now for almost a month. Since the first visit, the staff has been very welcoming and friendly despite my family and I arriving an hour before closing that night. They took a liking to my son right away and know him by name. The food is on point. I checked out some of the other buffets in the area and found that they were more expensive and tasted dried out and flavorless in comparison with #1 China Buffet. Despite its humble appearance, this place really delivers quality. My family and I look forward to Saturdays each week to see our friends and feast on some tasty Asian cuisine! I would have posted a picture with the food but it disappeared to quickly once we bring it to the table!

Today, I visited No.1 China Buffet in the Tampa area, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Despite the affordable price, the quality of the food left a lot to be desired. The dishes looked old, as if they had been sitting out for days, and they were cold, to the point that I had to ask for them to be reheated in the microwave. The atmosphere didn’t help either, and to make matters worse, I was practically forced to leave a tip even though I received almost no service. I’ve been to other budget-friendly restaurants before, and I know that a low price doesn’t mean the food has to be bad. Unfortunately, I do not recommend No.1 China Buffet. I couldn’t finish my plate. I believe that if there’s ever an inspection, a lot of bad things might come to light.

READ ALL BAD REVIEWS BEFORE COMING HERE. I have read most of the bad reviews and all deem true based on my one experience. When my girlfriend and I arrived we were directed towards a table, except the hostess waited for us to walk ahead of her, forcing us to have to keep looking back to see where we would be seated. We ordered two waters and got up to get our food. I got some of the fried rice and realized it could really use some salt. I walked all around the restaurant and then asked a waiter for salt and was told they have no salt. There were signs at every table reading that each plate with food still on it would cost an additional $3. Already knowing that this was the kind of restaurant to take money from you in every way possible, I was careful as to what I chose. I picked up what I believed to be an egg roll, but when biting into it I immediately felt like throwing up. It tasted like peanut butter and rice and looking into the roll, that's what it looked like it was. Not wanting to risk the $3 charge, since my girlfriend and I are in financial binds, I put the roll on the floor. I felt bad at the time, but upon further attendance at the restaurant I came to feel they deserved that kind of customer feedback. Not learning from my first plate, I got up to get another. On my way to the buffet I saw a waiter pouring rice from one tray to another at the buffet. He spilled a significant portion on the counter and then wiped it all into the serving tray. On my second serving I got what I believe to be a crab cake on a shell, I will say that is the one good thing I can say about this restaurant because that was very good. But it's hard to tell what anything in the buffet is since nothing is marked. Near the end of our second plates both me and my girlfriends waters were completely empty, and it was a good five minutes before a waitress came to refill them. After desert I went to the bathroom, walking along the severely sticky floor over to a very slippery patch where I nearly fell back into an even stickier bathroom. Upon coming back my girlfriend was using my card to pay the bill as the waitress stood over her as she wrote it out. Knowing our financial situation she decided to leave a low tip, generous considering all the staff did for us was bring us two glasses of water, but nevertheless low. As I sat down the waitress snatches the bill, turns around and looks at it, then turns back around, getting close enough to my girlfriend for her to feel threatened and yells "TWO DOLLARS", loud enough for the entire restaurant to go silent and stare at us. She then slams the bill onto the table and gives me a death stare as she watches me write a larger tip. I put five dollars, stretching my budget as far as I felt comfortable for two glasses of water with no new ice. After I was done writing the tip the waitress snatches the bill again, looks at it and then walks away. I wish I could of done more to show that restaurants staff how terrible they are other than leave peanut butter passing as chinese food on the floor and this review. All I can do is plead to whoever reads this to NEVER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT. I wish nothing but the worst for this restaurants staff and I hope that this and all the other bad reviews are enough to bring this restaurant to...

The product, itself, is ... well ... decent. I guess. I won't say anything bad about the food unless it's actually BAD, which it's not. However, both the restaurant itself and the staff are completely unsatisfactory, and represent the worst type of garbage one can fear for when dining out.

To start with, the restroom REEKS of feces. I understand what happens in a bathroom, but that is no excuse to not use an air freshener and/or ventilation system. None of the towel dispensers or air dryers work. This is a HUGE red flag for any restaurant.

Moving on to the abysmal staff ... they can only be described as something out of a B-movie from the 80's playing into stereotypes of ill-mannered Chinese people. Except this time it's real and most certainly NOT entertaining. They fail to speak with respect, and regard you with what can only be described as open contempt. I waited for over 15 minutes and NOT ONCE did the waiter visit my table to see if anything needed to be taken away or if my drink needed to be refilled. To the latter, I was informed that they would only refill my soda 2-3 times. Uh-huh ... nice try. SCAM ALERT.

Lastly, and more importantly, they represent a TERRIBLE HEALTH RISK to their patrons. I personally watched as my waiter rubbed sanitizing lotion OVER HER GLOVES. In a pandemic era, this is bordering on CRIMINAL behavior. I also witnessed a large cockroach scurry across the floor mere inches from one of the buffet tables.

To say the least --- STAY AWAY FROM THIS DISGUSTING HEALTH HAZARD CALLING ITSELF...

They deserve NO stars. WORST BUFFET I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!

Walked in, asked for a booth- they said No, you need a table.

So we got a table- my sister took her daughter to the bathroom and waitress came over asked what we wanted to drink- i said WATER. EVERYONE, WATER. So the waitress said "mm no no no..(asking my daughter,5) what do you want to drink apple juice or orange juice? (I assumed it came with the meal because she told me no about water) - she comes back with two cups of apple juice for the kids- i asked if the apple juice came with? She replied "no you pay for juice" i said okay- well i dont want it. She proceeded to walk away. THE WATER SHE GAVE US HAD NO ICE IN IT. We go up to buffet- their was either not enough or it looked old. No variety what so ever. While finishing plates- we put them to the side- waitress NEVER came to get the plates - or fill up drinks- we get the check and its $40 !!!! 10 for my sister 10 for me 5 for my daughter and 5 for my neice and $10 for the nasty ass apple juice she gave our kids! WHICHHHHH I SEEN HER BRING FROM THE BACK- WALMART BRAND APPLE JUICE. Usually costs $2 for a big jug!! We paid the bill and she proceeded to ask for a tip!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!! WORST SERVICE AND...
