QDOBA Mexican Eats — Restaurant in Tampa

This location is all about making the most profit by limiting the customer's options. I ordered 3 quesadillas, 2 just cheese and 1 with chicken. I asked to have the queso put on, like every other Qdoba does and they wouldn't. They put a small amount in a condiment cup. When we asked to get sides of sour cream to go with the quesadillas, we were told we couldn't because we got the queso. The cashier, whom I'm assuming was the manager, told us that queso costs more than the sour cream, so we would have to pay extra if we wanted both. Yet, the signs say free on all entrees. The chicken was overcooked and didn't taste fresh. The burrito and bowl we ordered were good.

Also, I tried to order a kid's meal for my 11 year old son who was sitting in one of the few available seats, about 150 yards away. I was told he had to be present for me to order a kid's meal. The manager said it's the airport's rule and they must see him before I could place his order. Another "policy" that is just about increasing profit. As a family that loves Qdoba, but doesn't have a location within 45 minutes of our house, we were excited to see this location, only to be let down by the service we received. $75 later we were left with a bad taste...

This is my first time eating from Qdoba. May very well be my last. Simply because the cashier by the name of Nola O, wanted to be passive aggressive over the simplest task. Before I continue: No, there was not a long line nor was I waiting long. As the cashier finishes ringing me up, she asks me if I wanted a bag for my food, I agreed because I needed to take my food to go all the way to my gate (had to take the air train). She hands me the bag to pack it myself which I requested that she simply pack it as my hands were tied with completing my payment. She abruptly placed my bowl down in the bag without fixing it properly. What was so hard in her positioning my bowl properly in the bag? I am not sure. But her behavior is completely unacceptable and rude as a cashier. As soon as I saw what she did, I immediately told her that she should have done that better and to not be disrespectful next time. I would hope that was a one off incident, but simple customer service could have avoided this negative review.

On a positive note, I ordered the Birria bowl and I absolutely loved it. Well seasoned. Good portion size, fair pricing, fresh ingredients....

Usually my regular lunch spot, but got serious attitude today from the lady in the black headscarf (didnt see a name tag). Her friend (who works at Chick-Fil-A next door) was behind me in line, and the whole time I tried to order she spoke to her friend in a different language and was ignoring me. Almost gave me the wrong protein, then quickly rushed away after. I asked for fajita vegetables and she didn't hear so I asked her again as she walked away and she gave me a dirty look, came back, and plopped a spoonful in the bowl giving me a sarcastic look the whole time. Then, as I completed my bowl she decided her friend gets to cut in front of me in line and pushed her order to the counter (even though mine was already at the counter waiting) and gave it to her for free while they chatted and made me wait another minute or two. Don't know that I'll be back, but definitely not when...
