Serious Health Concern – Proceed with Caution
I am writing this review as a serious warning to anyone with food allergies, particularly sesame. Prior to visiting this restaurant, I called ahead and spoke with the manager to ask if they could accommodate a sesame allergy. She assured me it would be no problem and encouraged us to come in.
Upon arrival, I reminded the manager that I had called earlier regarding my son's allergy. She told me to inform our server, which I did—repeatedly. Our server, Lizabeth, appeared completely untrained in handling food allergies. I must have told her at least five times to ensure a clean knife was used and that sesame was strictly avoided.
What happened next was shocking. When my son’s plate arrived, I witnessed the server take the dish to a corner near the trash and attempt to pick sesame seeds out of the rolls with her bare hands. I immediately called out to the manager, drawing attention to the situation. Although she initially tried to deny it, others in the restaurant witnessed what happened.
This kind of behavior is dangerous and completely unacceptable. Food allergies can be life-threatening, and such negligence could seriously harm or even kill someone. Regardless of allergies, no server should ever use their bare hands to "fix" a plate.
As for the food itself—frankly, I don’t understand the rave reviews. The sushi was mediocre at best and did not meet the quality or standards reflected in the many five-star ratings.
I strongly urge the health department to investigate this restaurant and ensure that proper food safety protocols are being followed. Your health and safety may...

Let me brake it down for everyone:
Order more than one sushi roll: everyone gets a choice of either soup or salad. (I go with clear soup or ginger salad)
My favorite rolls: Osaka ($7.00) !!!! I'm an avid sushi lover and this is not only my favorite roll Sushi Cafe offers, but it is now my favorite food in the world, you know, the one you choose before you die type of thing. . .
Monster roll ($9.50): My number 2 recommendation. If the Osaka roll was a 5 star, Monster would be a 4.99999
For a raw roll, I would recommend Either the Crunch roll ($6.50) or Spicy Red roll ($9.00).
The portions are really filling, I could eat three all to myself but I would not be able to move after. . . I usually split 3 rolls between two people. (I can eat a lot)
No up-charge for sauces!
To end the night, order a pot of green tea for the table with honey. You'll feel completely relaxed and a sense of Zen. Its only like $3 bucks.
*NOTE: All the rolls I recommended are from the Specialty Sushi menu, but all the sushi from the regular sushi menu is still really good and...
Read moreMy Wesley chapel neighbors so this is a Japanese style or themed restaurant. Do they have Asahi super Dry? Of course they do. The only thing is it's not Japanese Asahi beer, it's Asahi made in Italy. Yet it tastes like Asahi from Japan. I came to have dinner with friends. They said that they enjoyed their sushi rolls very much. My son had Katsu which here it's made with chicken and not pork as I understand Japanese like it in pork. I myself had the fried noodles, the house special, It was not bad, nor was it great, It was disappointingly average. The staff was very genial and attentive. Another item of notice was that the plates were made out of a plastic material and not ceramic. Okay, final thoughts. So if you like Asian sushi like place, this might satisfy you. Most people like this place. Maybe you'll find the same experience like others have and find this place appealing to you. For me this place is average. Maybe you'll have a...
