I recently visited this WAWA location around 2 pm. After grabbing what I needed, I proceeded to the register and stood in line. As I was next up, the cashier, a heavy-set black lady with braids, unexpectedly left the register to attend to someone who had skipped the line and went to another register. Instead of informing the person that the line starts behind me, she began assisting them without any explanation. This was confusing and frustrating.
I approached the register and lightly chuckled, asking if I had been standing at the wrong one. To my surprise, the cashier responded by saying, 'Why are you so angry?' Her statement caught me off guard. I explained that if they were operating multiple registers, they should have made that clear. I was clearly in line, and the other customer just walked up to an empty register, but the cashier attended to them without even acknowledging or excusing herself.
What disappointed me even more was that this cashier seemed to have an attitude from the moment I approached her. She even tried to instigate an argument between myself and the customer who disregarded the existing line at another register. Adding to the frustration, I had my young child with me during this incident.
I must say I'm not surprised by this cashier's unprofessional behavior. I believe WAWA should strive for better customer service and ensure that their employees are courteous and respectful to all customers, regardless of the situation. And from reading the reviews, you can clearly see that you have a huge issue with customer service and I wouldn’t be surprised if everyone’s dealing with the same woman. I’m sorry ratchet behavior doesn’t belong in...
Read moreWorst place to shop ever the employees Mahmut and Tameshia are super rude and need better customer service skills. The employee Mahmut is super unprofessional as he was on the floor in front of customers massaging the general managers neck whose name is Iris. These people are running off paying customers with their poor attitudes they are super aggressive. Neesha in the food area is constantly talking about her relationships with females to the point I heard her say she can hit on anyone she wants we are all fair game, when it come to her advances which I overheard and thought was highly inappropriate. I will be advising all friends and family to stay out of that store. Between my family and I we spent 800 dollars in that store between gas, tobacco, and food for the month of May and the disrespect I witnessed from these employees multiple times it’s revolting as I will take my business for gas elsewhere and Jersey mikes will be my new Hoagie stop for the perfect sub. Tropical smoothie will be getting a lot more buisness as well from as their smoothies arnt watery and they are always pleasant entering their establishment. As far as coffee goes at least 711 refills their containers and it’s fresh all the time this Wawa couldn’t brew fresh coffee or keep their urns filled even with a fully staffed store. The bathrooms are always filthy and the drink and soda machine area dirty as well. It’s just pathetic that people like this are rude and nasty representing a company and all they have to do is their job that’s it no...
Read moreThe time of day matters, consistency is crazy at this particular location, usually not too bad. And the deli staff are usually on point, never had a bad experience. In the Morning there’s two all star cashiers and two baristas running around with the highest urgency you’ve seen. Wish I caught their names, I’m always in hurry. One asked me if she could make a breakfast sandwich or anything. It was so pleasant and authentic I loved it.
Weekends not too bad either. It’s pretty casual and everyone in there is appropriately casual. Get your snacks or drinks and get out. But the afternoon after 5p on weeknights… The store tends to be stale, bathrooms are “used”. And the cashiers especially one named Christine, prefers her text messaging over helping customers. Sorry we interfere with your social life, Christine—I just love waiting 30 seconds in silence while you check your phone and text then just start ringing up my stuff without a hello with a line 7 or 8 people deep. I’ll review again with your photo next time. You obviously don’t care about your customers, job or your employer, but just the same. There’s another fellow at cashier who I haven’t seen in about 3 weeks—thankfully, I guess customers interfered too much for him as well.
Overall not too bad, definitely beats the speedway or 7-11 or the mobile...
