Where do I even begin? This place was a complete letdown from the moment we walked in. We came specifically for brunch, only to be told—after waiting 20 minutes for any acknowledgment—that brunch was no longer being served. Why even advertise it if you're going to pull the rug out from under your customers?
The food, if you can call it that, was a whole other level of bad. I ordered a turkey sandwich, hoping for something simple and satisfying. Instead, what I got tasted like it was slapped together with Oscar Mayer deli meat—overly salty, processed, and just downright unpleasant. It was the kind of sandwich you’d expect from a gas station, not a restaurant claiming to offer decent meals.
The service was equally terrible. The hostess ignored us for what felt like forever, and when they finally did grace us with their presence, it was only to tell us what we couldn’t order brunch. No apologies, no explanation—just a dismissive attitude as if we were inconveniencing them by being there.
And the cherry on top? The place smelled like trash. Literally. The faint odor of garbage lingered throughout the dining area, making an already awful experience somehow worse. It's beyond me how a restaurant can think it's acceptable to treat customers like this.

Read moreFlew in yesterday from New York for a quick business meeting + lunch and my client suggested this being less than 10 mins. from the airport. This restaurant is at the far end of the lobby of The Current hotel, Autograph Collection and a Marriott property. First impression is it's wonderful, understated chic and we were given a nice table with a great view of the pool and Tampa Bay. Staff and service on point. I believe Rafael was the one who attended to us and was also multi tasking at the same time as bartender and did pretty well balancing things. Thanks, Rafael!
We came in when they were 10 mins to closing the kitchen for breakfast and we were there for lunch so we asked for coffee first and their coffee is pretty good. As for lunch we tried the Yellowfin Tuna Crispy Wonton and was pretty good! And for entrees, we both went for the Blackened Grouper Sandwich which was delicious! Also came with fries which were pretty good. I upgraded mine to Truffle fries, enjoyed it. The only thing I'd suggest is for the kitchen to have grilled salmon or chicken or steak and not just be limited to burger, tacos and sandwiches.
Overall a productive business lunch and loved the food and the view. Pretty easy to get to and the restrooms by the lobby are also spacious and kept...
Read moreNice, cozy restaurant with amazing food, but 50-50 on service.
Menu is short, but that's always a good sign as it means they really perfect the dishes that's on there. Ordered the short rib empanada for appetizers and it was the bomb! For mains , had steak and Frites, and NY strip. They switched the doneness of our steaks (I wanted medium for my steak and Frites but they did medium rare, while my Fiance's steak was done medium). Even with the mistake, the steaks were great and the sides they came with were amazing.
Best recommendation was the churro and the to die for chocolate hazelnut Gelato it came with. I'd go back to Julian just to have 3 orders of this for myself. Almost skipped dessert but our friendly waitress was very convincing, and I'm glad we took her advice.
The cocktails were great too, much better than the ones we had at the Rox, which is the hotel's rooftop bar.
Service started out amazing coz we were there early. However, when the restaurant filled up, food service got slow and we had to wait 20 mins for our bill coz our waitress forgot about it. She was friendly enough and new her stuff, so we still tipped pretty well.
All in all amazing experience, beautiful views, and...
