Hampton Station Pizza & Records — Restaurant in Tampa

I would give it a 1 star, but the wings were pretty good. To start off, this was my first time going here. When I drove by, it looked interesting so I decided to stop in. Before going in, I checked what the reviews said. Most were complimentary and most were 5 stars. One reviewer gave it 3 stars. They said that it was great food, but horrible service. Someone replied to that and rebutted them, but didn't sound sincere. So I decided to try it myself and see how it was. I always like trying something new. Upon arrival, there were about 8 people including myself. All were seated at the bar. I decided to sit at a table because I don't like to sit between people. I like my space. From the rebuttal to the 3 star review, the person said that the bartender on staff was a bartender and didn't wait on the tables. So if you needed something, go to the bar. Just as the sign on the was supposedly says that I didn't see tonight. That strikes me as off because there were about 4 tables inside with a couple picnic tables outside. But apparently there are all self serve. So I went to the bar, ordered a beer and some wings, and took my seat. My beer was forgotten about until I made eye contact with the bartender 5 minutes later. My beer wasn't brought out to me, I had to go to the bar to get it. 15 minutes later my wings were ready that also were not brought out to me. When I picked them up, the bartender asked if I would like another beer. I said please and I asked for some napkins for the wings. Neither were brought out to me. They were forgotten apparently. By this time a group of 5 came in. One person brought a dog and asked if it were ok to bring a dog inside. Now I'm no food inspector, but I do know that it isn't ok to bring an animal inside where food is served. But it was ok tonight.So once the bartender starting bringing out the drinks for the group of 5 with the dog, she remembered that I didn't get my beer. She then decided that it was a great time to pet the dog, bring her a treat, and then go back behind the bar to help bring out the pizzas for the group of 5.. That has to be a code violation of some sort. At that point I was done. I never got the napkins that I had asked for. I'm just glad that I got my wings before the dog came in. And for that,...

Food was great, but the service from the Bartender Lady was awful!!! I sat down at the Bar and waved hello and smiled to here and she looked up at me and rolled her eyes like I was the scum of the Earth.

I gave her the benifit of a doubt and said to myself "maybe she didn't see my wave hello" then i waited 10 minutes while she chatted and laughed with customers at the other end of the bar. She Never...I mean NEVER came back to my side of the Bar!!! I watched her refill 3 customers beer from the TAP.... which is close to my side of the bar but never acknowledged me & went back to the other side as soon as she was done refilling their beer. I've never felt so ignored at a restaurant/Bar.

FINALLY Another Waiter Guy/Bartender came from the back and asked me with a smile "can I get you a Beer or food?" I got 30 Wings and a Beer while i waited. He was a cool friendly guy.

The Food was Great!! It's a great place get TO-GO Orders but don't expect much customer service from them if you decide to DINE-IN.

I was the Bigger person though I still gave a 15% TIP just to let her know how classy I still can be EVEN in a Awful Situation, because I used to wait tables too...

I love eating at and supporting local businesses. We live right up the street from this place and had not yet had the chance to patronize this spot. We had company over, so we looked for a Pizza shop and upon seeing it come up in our search, we decided to give it a try. We ordered a pizza and calzone and were shocked when told the price. I dont mind paying for good food, so my expectations were high. I picked up the food and brought home and everybody dug in. I was worried that there wouldnt be enough because of the price, I expecting larger portions. Nobody really said anything when eating it, till I finally said it was not that good and everybody agreed. In fact, we still have food left so running out sure was not a concern. The food had absolutely no flavor. The pizza was thin with no sauce at all. The calzone was even worse with it being flat and no flavor at all. We probably will just give what is left to the dog, because nobody wants to eat it again. I will not order from here again. Sad. Im still looking for a good...
