Denny's Tamuning — Restaurant in Tamuning Municipality

It's a great little 'American-Style-Diner' and probably one of last remaining Dennys in the country so it has that whole nostalgia going for it. If you are visiting from anywhere in Asia or mainland USA (where there isn't a dennys) then this place is a must-see! But don't get overly excited because after all... it just a simple diner. Classic Diner meals like Philly Cheese Steaks, Apple Pie with a scoop of ice cream and Rootbeer Floats are just a few of the classics that you'll find here. The 2 biggest criticism I have for the place is the menu being overloaded with 10000 items and the fact that I've seen more excitement at a funeral compared to the excitement the staff have for... their jobs. Which is a shame because if they could pick up their enthusiasm, along with the specials and quality of food, the place would be a *Slamdunk-Homerun-5-Star-Eatery. Food was alright. Service was alright. I can only go to the Mall, given similar experiences with Tamuning, plus the payment of my meal at the Mall. The Tamuning cashier, whom I’ll call R, however, just carelessly throws around any copies of receipts, or even just dumps the receipts in the trash. When she would find out her mistake, it holds up much needed time for everyone to either do their jobs, or for customers to get their receipts and leave. Other employees, especially non-cashiers, are forced to mind the cash register. Buspersons are forced to thoroughly examine their trash collection from bussing tables as well as through their bus trays and trash bins, already back in the kitchen. All because of her. I should’ve listened to my friends who have dined there once and had to wait to get their receipt, just for steak and eggs, and Belgian waffles. I ended up getting a receipt for a double order of a salmon dish, when I had just ordered one. R made me wait almost an hour, just to find that receipt for that 1, not 2, salmon dinner that I had ordered. And it was on a slow...

At the time i'm writing this, it's the Christmas weekend. I know its the holiday season and a lot of people refuse to work during this major holiday but there are others who have to work during the holidays 24/7. The hostess was pretty rude to my parents, whom are senior citizens. There was no ice available so everyone had to consume their beverages warm because Tamuning Denny's somehow hasn't recovered from Typhoon Mawar. The restaurant wasn't that busy today, but customers took it upon themselves to walked to the front counter to request for items. As for the hostess that brought us to our table, if you don't want to work despite being a holiday or even if it's any day of the year, don't come to work period! Just call out sick and make up some excuse not to work while others still have to show up to work 24/7 on Christmas Day, New Years Day,...
