Smokey Bones Taunton — Restaurant in Taunton

Where to begin. Service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive and polite while also being very familiar with the menu. Starting our dinner I ordered the pretzel bones and a build your own burger. My other reviewer ordered the chicken and a salad.

The pretzels were fluffy perfectly cooked and absolutely wonderful. I had to restrain myself from ordering them the next off GrubHub/Uber eats. The cheese sauce on the side of macaroni was very good and it was melted to perfection evenly coating the whole dish.

The burger was cooked to my exact specifications. The inside was juicy and tender and I do digress when I say I have a fondness for their pickles.

The chicken and the amount of variety that was possible was expected of a BBQ restaurant. The smoked chicken was delectable and we couldn't put them down.

The price was already fair and even with a 20% tip I felt like I was paying to little. Upon further investigation post the dinner it was discovered they have a generous coupon selection as well that could further reduce their price point significantly. With appropriate coupons and some quick math if you were inclined you could possibly get an order to be less then a fast food restaurant.

That being said I hope the servers and paid adequately as the lower price point does hinder their tips.

Overall it was a wonderful experience with great flavours and excellent service. I will be visiting for many months to come.

PS While it may not be the main stay for a BBQ restaurant I would recommend if possible (for me I admit it was not) to save much room for dessert. The cheesecake from what I have gathered is perfection. Creamy and melt in your mouth it would be at home in any high...

Smokey bones review.

First things first I have to tell you last night story so you can understand why today was a 10 out of 10 last night. I went to Applebee's and you would think the neighborhood Applebee's would treat you correctly? false. The food was pitiful. The server was mediocre.. now take me to today where I come to Smokey bones and I'm creating with a smile. I'm seated immediately, quick fashion!! I sit down. My server comes to me not even three minutes later and gets me a drink. They ran out of Dr Pepper for a second, I was like no, but then I stopped and was like let me give this server a chance and what did she do? She made me a cherry Coke with extra cherries and let me tell you it definitely tasted better than the Dr Pepper would have it was amazing. I received my chili my cornbread with pecan butter and then my fried pickles. When I tell you ill die behind smokey bones groed pickles thats an understatement truly. The corn bread was so good I had to save one for home. As for the entree? I received a grilled cheese with beef brisket thats been smoked for 10 hours!! Can you believe that???? Naomi was our servers name and her suggedtions and reviews of the menu keptnme wanting to order more and more. If you go ask for her!! I refuse to come here and receive another server she made it feel like home and I was having mamas cooking. I just discover this restaurant a couple of weeks ago. Went for lunch with a friend and loved the food, drink and service. Since I loved the restaurant so much I invited a couple of more friends on another day after a concert. The place closes at 1:00am, we got there at around 12:00am and we were told that we had to order fast because they were almost closing the kitchen which was fine with us. We went ahead and order 2 margaritas pitcher and entrees for 6+ people that brings a little bit of every meat and wedges. The first thing was that they only made one margarita pitcher because it was too late to make 2. Second they said that they could not rim our cups, and that they could not give us small cups to drink the margarita. They gave us large 16-22 ounces cup and when we requested smaller one they say no. The server was a little be nice, but the bartender in the back said “no way I’m changing the cups, if they want it they are going to have to drink it there.” After this and all of the bad attitudes given to us from the beginning, we got out. We were trying to be as nice as possible and to give no trouble, because we recognized that it was late and they were probably ready to go. But, it was 1hour before closing, if they couldn’t take us at that time they should of just told us “No” from the beginning.
